May sound like a cop-out, but my job lately has taken away all my spare time. I never got around to shoot anything, so Ill have to pass on this one.

So people are crazy all over, huh? In a crazy sort of way, that's kind of comforting, I think.... at least consistent!

Actually, because it was shot outside under cover of a thick layer of green and yellow leaves, everything has a yellow-green hue to it, and this is after I corrected it as much as I could, so it's not your monitor Jody. And Caledonia, I agree about the eyes. So many times it seems like her eyes absorb up all the light in the area, still needing more. I need some reflectors or something because this is after I lightened them as much as I could. Thanks for all the feedback from all!

I guess it all depends on your monitor settings. It drives me crazy when I do something at home how different it looks at work, even though I've tried to calibrate both monitors the same. NE-ways the first one seems to be proper contrast here at home, and like Slynky, I'm a b&w contrast freak too. Really cool shot either way.

Amazing process! Good thing you explained it, cause I'd never have guessed. Looks like something from Star Trek, and as scary as it looks, I really dig it!

Alpha (or anybody) I guess this sounds ignorant, but on this I am: How the hell do you scan a negative? There must be more to it that I know because the few times Ive tried, it came out horrible. Is there something special that needs to be done, or perhaps a special setting on the scanner (that I cant find)? Im doing something wrong.

I just stared at this for a long time. Felt very peaceful, like I was drifting away. Real nice.

Been following this story for a while, and looks like the writings on the wall! What will be will be. The less thought though, the better...... Such a natural photograph. Real life doesnt get much more real than that.

That sure does have that southern Appalachian Mountain area look to it. Beautiful place. Post more!

Gwyn, I especially like the first two. The photographs are as impressive as is the natural design itself!

As for me, when I scan a photo (like your first one) that has a bright area which causes the darker areas to get too dark, I scan it twice, one set for the bright area (which leaves the dark area too dark), and one set for the dark area (which leaves the bright area too bright). Then I combine the two in Photoshop. I still get the contrast I want, but it allows the bright area to be correct with the detail still remaining in the darker areas. It could be I have to do this because my scanner cant handle such contrast, but it doesnt take long, and it really works!
