The Zygote Fairy is available for purchase through Zygote. It is not, and never was, a free download. -JKeller
Thread: Delete-a-message woes | Forum: Community Center
Anthony, I was wondering what happened to that thread. i'm not sure if you saw my answer to your question concerning parenting two parts of a prop to two parts of a figure (heirarchal loop). If you didn't see my response, either repost the question and I'll repost my answer...or e-mail me at dreamchasers@earthlink.net. What you are trying to do will work. -JKeller
Thread: Frame from my my latest Animation... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Bink is a tool used by game makers I believe to show movies. It has tools that allow the movie to be integrated into a multimedia setup or to played as a self-extracting file. It's a cool tool, but from my limited experience it's not as stable as .avi, .mov or .mpg formats. -JKeller

Have you tried converting your animations to .mpg format? You may be able to convert them to be small enought to share over the net. The still looks great, I'd love to see how that looks in motion. -JKeller
Thread: Ok call me foolish but.... | Forum: Animation
There are encoders you can use to convert AVI's to mpg or G2. Follow the link Jeff posted above for a free mpg encoder or you can find the G2 player and encoder (called G2 producer) realmedia.com. My preference is mpg...it dramatically reduces the size of an uncompressed AVI with virtually no quality loss. I hate G2 with a passion...the resulting filesizes may be smaller than mpg, but the archiving created in compression is untolerable in my book. If there are any subtle movements in your movie, they will be lossed in G2 format. -JKeller
Thread: Animating with Poser and RDS (a bit long) | Forum: Animation
I don't know when the P4 plugin for RDS will be out...but I have heard that you can use pz3's created by Poser 4 with the current plugin as long as you're not using any of the new features (i.e. Transparency, Reflection, Conformed Figures and such)
Thread: Oldie to poser, newbie to animation side of it... | Forum: Animation
That's the correct product...the original MSRP was $800. Looks like Egghead's got a good deal.

Adobe Premiere probably is the best way to go if you can afford it. It's probably one of the most professional editing program you can get on a home computer. But with as expensive as it is (around $800)...you might want to start out with a bit cheaper. Something like Ulead Media Studio should be able to do everything you want or Main Actor Here's the links: Ulead Main Actor Hope this helps. -JKeller
Thread: Hot off the render...a new animation | Forum: Animation
Thanks for the suggestions...I appreciate those. I've just made some adjustments and added a couple more shots to the scene which are rendering as I type this. I should hopefully be able to post the latest version tomorrow.
Thread: LipSync & Ram | Forum: Animation
More ram would probably help, but I don't think it would get you up to realtime with full-tracking on and skip-frames off. I couldn't tell you for sure, because I only have a P166 with 48mb of ram.
Thread: Question on Poser 3 horse, motion, paces | Forum: Animation
Yes, there is a horse that comes with Poser 3, although I would suggest waiting a week (supposedly) and buying Poser 4 instead. Unfortionately Poser 3 does not come with motions for the animals...and as far as I know, Poser 4 does not either. You could make these animations yourself, or purchase the PoseAmation CD. I know PosAmation Vol 1 has horse animations...I'm not sure if Vol 2 will or not. Credo -Interactive (www.credo-interactive.com) is also working on a CD of animal motions in BVH format, I believe.
Thread: TV? | Forum: Animation
I could be wrong, but I think NTSC Television uses 400 lines that are 460 pixels across. These are interlaced so the pixels aren't exacly in a grid pattern like your monitor. I also don't believe the pixels are actually square. Now it's better to render your work at a higher resolution: I believe 640x480 is the magic number here. Like a photocopier, when you reduce the size of the image, you'll get a sharper image. Let me see if I can find a link to verify this or set me straight.

Hey, if you can do that trick in real life, I'd like to see it. Do you use your animations to help learn the tricks for yourself?
