Hi! waving I'm pretty new here, - and haven't met you before! I'd like to say that I appreciate your idea about a "portofolio" in the contest. It might be difficult to achieve though, if you look at the number of contestant. I guess we're generally busy people. At least I entered MY picture because I'm not a professional photographer. I don't have time to make a 3 different picture entry a month. (I think! ;) Britt

Thread: A newbies pride *laughing*, and some ???? about cr2 files.... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thank you, Scott! :) (did I tell you you're the bestest??). I'll do that. I read your last response where I asked about cr2, and you did refer me to the tech faq. If by reading that, - some lightbulbs flare, I think actually I'll purchase the cr2 editor. That seems like a very good tool to me. I've been trying to study those files, - and I do get crosseyed before I reach the first half. I think the problems with the P4kids is that there are very few cloths made for them. I've played with rubio's stuff, - and I'm not sure his figures were zeroed when he made his cloths. I'll mail him and ask, - and cross my fingers and hope that he understands my Norwegian accented English. :) I guess your suggestion about using the clothing cr2 files is because they're probably a lot smaller then the ones for the whole body. No? I swear (silently in old Norse - #%&%&), I'll get it some day! :) Thanks a lot, Scott! Britt
Thread: Help!! 11 kids are expecting the inpossible!!! | Forum: Photography
Thank you Alpha! :) I decided to go with it. After all the first door in the calendar is to be opened today, - so I thought it more important to actually get it up and working! Phew! I'm done! lol Now I'll edit the first page in my own tempo, and add the 5 kids. They might be disappointed that they're not there already, but at least they can open the calendar. :) And for those of you with kids, - It's actually turned out pretty well. There are craft ideas, games, stories, traditions and lots more for the kids. So feel free to open a daily door till Dec. 25th. Britt

Thread: Help, please. Conforming cloths. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I can read that PHI file. And it makes sense to me!!! Even through my sinus infected brain (I'm sure there is such a thing... cuz I feel like it doesn't work when I need it to! lol), - and not only that. I think I understand it!! I'll go back and "re-group" my army! grin And then proceed with the rest of the steps. Phil! Thank you! Now I may be able to sleep tonight! :)
Thread: Help, please. Conforming cloths. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
..same body parts as "my" (read: Rubio's :) object? Or can I use for instance the girl's cr2 file? What I did, was taking Rubios cr2 file and edited that. Of course i'm not sure that HIS cloths will conform to the Poser girl, - but I kinda assumed that. (will go and test that) The manual is a bit "foggy" for me (Ok... I'm foggy too. lol got a bad sinus infection), since they use a horse. That is 2 too many legs + a tail I don't need. grin What they explain with the horse example is how to "conform a new horse". So I thought it would be logical to bring in the "girl", - and simply use the same "settings" as she has, when I'm working with the Joint-editor. Am I thinking correctly? Thank you so much for responding Scott. I'm sorry if I'm not coherent today. I should prolly have waited till the penicillin kicked in before I tried to make this work, - but there are 10 kids waiting for me to get that advent calendar working on Dec. 1st :( Britt

Picky has made an excellent post work tutorial. (see attached link) You can click the Tutorial link, - then Photoshop, - and do a search for Post That will give you several. As for Adding new figures to the collection, - I dunno. I'm as new as you are, - and prolly more stubborn. *grin* Because I'm determined to make do with the ones that came with Poser. I have downloaded Traveler's Eve4 (which you can find on his site), and like her a lot. As for adding Morph targets. *laughing* I'm working on conforming cloths. I'll study that part of the Poser manual next. :) Good luck, BrittThread: New Poser Clothing Tutorial | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
What an excellent tutorial! :) I use AMAPI 6.1 (I think ver. 4.1 still is free), UVMapper and PHI-builder. But I learned a lot by going through your tutorial. I think I have the basic understanding, - lol Now all I have to do is to make it work. Britt
