"RGB also doesn't know any white colour, but the filter still works." It's the other way around. CMYK that doesn't know white. The primary (additive, Red - Green - Blue) colors combined create white. The secondary (subtractive, Cyan - Magenta - Yellow) colors combined create black (actually a muddy brown).

Very neat filter. I have the Eliminate White, Eliminate Black and the Whitewash filter. All three of the filters require that your image be in RGB color mode and they will only function on a layer. If your image is on the background, you must first promote it to a layer before running the filter. Eliminate White strips the active layer of white pixels. Light-colored pixels in the layer are made partially transparent based on the level of whiteness. If you find the image too transparent, you can duplicate layer 2-3 times (or however many you need) and merge down (not flatten).
Unfortunately, not all filters work in CMYK mode.

.WMF Windows Metafile
.EPS Encapsulated PostScript
Both of these can be opened by Adobe Photoshop 6 using File - Open
If you are using a Mac then I can't be sure. I have yet to even touch one.

The frame rate is on the bottom of each frame on the Animation tab of the Animation palette. Each frame can be changed separately or you can click on first frame, hold down Shift key while clicking on last frame to select all frames (you can also click the black right arrow in the circle top right of animation tab and select all frames). Click on the rate speed on bottom of any of the highlighted frames and select desired speed. The looping options are on the lower left of the Animation tab.
I work mostly with animated GIFs and have not used a Quicktime in Image Ready BUT the Help file says:
You can open movies in MOV, AVI, and FLIC formats to view and edit in ImageReady.
To open QuickTime-compatible movies:
Choose File > Open, and select the movie to open.
Select the range of frames to import:
. From Beginning to End to open the full file.
. Selected Range Only to open selected frames. Drag the slider below the movie thumbnail to specify the starting point for the range, then Shift-drag to specify the ending point. (A black bar on the slider indicates the range you select.)
Select Limit to Every Frame to specify which frames to include from the selected range. (You can use this option with either Range option.)
Click Open.
You can save an animation as a QuickTime movie. The resulting file is viewable in the QuickTime player and can be opened in other applications that support QuickTime movie format.
To save an animation as a QuickTime movie:
Choose File > Export Original.
Select QuickTime Movie from the format pop-up menu.
Note: On Windows, QuickTime Movie format is only available when QuickTime is installed on your computer.
Type a filename, and choose a location for the file.
Click Save.
If desired, adjust the compression settings, and click OK.

If you have Adobe Photoshop 5.5 or 6 then you have Image Ready. It has an animation palette. You use the Tween command to automatically add or modify a series of frames between two existing frames--varying the layer attributes (position, opacity, or effect parameters) evenly between the new frames to create the appearance of movement.

When you bring up the Color Picker, you can click the circle before the L (LAB Color), select a color and use the slider. The color picker also has "warning: out of gamut for printing" which appears as a triangle with a ! inside and "warning: not a web safe color" which appears as a box. By clicking on one or both, it will bring you to the next closest safe color (for printing or web). Also has a "Only Web Colors" checkbox. You can also change the sliders on the Color palette by clicking on the right arrow in the circle and selecting the LAB sliders.

You can open your .psp files in Paint Shop Pro and Save As: and select Photoshop (*.psd) in the Save As Type: to retain your layers (or do a batch conversion). As for the .tub files hmmmmm I know Corel Photo-Paint (as well as other programs) has the equivalent to PSP's picture tubes. In Corel Photo-Paint it's the image sprayer. I am not sure you can convert the picture tube (.tub) files (but I might be wrong ... been known to happen). Photoshop does have a "define brush" and "define pattern" but it's not the same as the picture tube or image sprayer.

You can do a much better job in Adobe Illustrator with text. Text will follow a path of any shape or size.
In Adobe Photoshop 6, after selecting your type tool, there is a "Create Warped Text" which is on the tool bar at top, to the right of the text color swatch. There are different styles to warp your text.
Another way is as follows:

Edit - Preferences - Memory & Image Cache Photoshop put the physical memory usage at 50% (of remaining available ram). If you have more than one program open, you should open Photoshop last. If you change this percentage, you will have to restart Photoshop.

Which version of Photoshop do you have? Which plug-ins did you put in your plug-ins folder? Did you put them in plugin folder or plug-ins folder? What are the file extensions for the plug-ins? Did you restart Photoshop?
Thread: ALBM Format? | Forum: Photoshop
There is a 30 day evaluation of Jasc Media Center Plus 3.10. This program saves the album in .alb format. You can open the .alb in the program and see just what set of images are in there then save each image in .jpg or whatever format the individual images are in. Media Center Plus 11,160,944 bytes Media Center Plus I can't be sure that .albm is the same as .alb but worth a shot.
Thread: ALBM Format? | Forum: Photoshop
ALB = JASC Image Commander graphics ALBum It's a set of images in an album. You would not be able to convert to .jpg format unless you had access to the individual images in the album.
Thread: A Question About Shutting down | Forum: Photoshop
It was not necessarily number of layers but the amount of system resources getting dangerously low. Windows will crash when it wants to. What you can do when working for a while on an image, Edit - Purge and select Undo, Clipboard, Histories or All. You can merge certain layers that don't need to be on separate layers anymore. Edit - Preferences - General - Reduce the amount in the history states - Memory & Image Cache - Check your cache levels and the percentage of memory used by photoshop. If running other programs make sure you open photoshop last. Always save your work from time to time if you don't want to risk losing it by a crash.

Thread: Watermaking a image | Forum: Photoshop
Well of course you would not sell an image with a optical watermark on it .. you save the psd file and remove the watermark layer. You would not sell an image with a digital watermark to a client would you? Maybe so, I don't claim to be an expert on the matter of digital watermarking. If you really want to open that can of worms about "that worthless javascript crap", one can simply make a screen shot of your image with the digital watermark. The purpose of my post was not meant to offend anyone. I am not an expert by any means. Everything I learned was by reading and practice.
