Thank you bobbystahr for the input.
Also, what do you think of Vue's render engine?
Poser and Bryce both have slow render engines, especially Bryce's. I'm hoping Vue's got a much faster render engine.
Thanks again!

Thread: Newbie question on Vue Infinite -- Can Vue model a simple castle? | Forum: Vue
Thank you bobbystahr and schoesser, for the inputs.
I think I've got some ideas about Vue 5 Infinite's modelling capacity now.
Thanks again!

Thread: Bryce, Vue, or LightWave -- Your input much appreciated! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi, thank you all for the replies. I actually had the impression that LightWave was a high end 3D program, and was surprised to find that its current price (for v.9) is only $100 more than Vue 5 (or 6) Infinite.
It seems that Vue is no longer included in LightWave's $795 package, but thank you for the info anyway.
Also, I wonder if Vue Infinite can do modeling work better than Bryce. I've heard that Bryce does very simple modeling (something like Boolean?), but how's Vue Infinite's modeling capacity?
Can we use Vue to model a simple castle or house?
Thanks!

Has PoserWorld.com Website been down for the past 12 hours? Every time I clicked on the link, or typed in the URL directly, an error message showed up and nothing else.

Thread: Kozaburo hair looks real. Why doesn't other hair? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It's very hard to find, nor easy to make, a perfect hair model. My compromise is that I spend my money choosing hair style over texture, then I borrow Koz's hair texture, tone down the highlight and paste it over the poor texture map of the stylish hair.
AprilYSH sells a lot of cool-styled hair at DAZ3D, although most of the textures look fake, they can be modified easily with a graphic program to fit your needs.
I think before we find a perfect hair, that can be a nice compromise, plus a bit of post work.
Thread: Rate the Poser base figures: M2>David>James>Koji>M3>Don> . . . ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Some words on ApolloMaximus:
ApolloMaximus is a nice male base, and has great potential to become truly the best Poser male base figure with his age morph capacity. This great age variety morph feature will truly stand out when we see him change ages, growing from a toddler to a weatherd old man in a single animation sequence.
However, I found that AM did not work well with Poser's Walk Designer, which in the Poser animation realm is a big plus feature in that it greatly shortens the time spent in designing walk animations. (Correct me if AM has updates already to make him compatible with WalkDesigner.)
For artwork render purpose, I'd suggest that the creator or other capable 3rd party merchants build extra morph channels that can fine-tune his face. AM looks fine, but the default figure's face has a chubby "under-chin" (the area between chin and neck, is there a word for it?) that's hard to modify. That, plus his jaws, make most of AM's faces morphed by different artists look similar and easily recognizable as from the AM base. With a few exceptions, while most M3 faces look feminine, most AM faces look very macho (Arnold or Sylvester type).
Anyhow, I look forward to the updates and/or plug-ins that expand AM's face morph targets. Again, AM has the greatest potential to become the best overall Poser male base figure.

Your "bimbo" is pretty cool, takezo3001. And yes, Koz's hair can flow realistically as demonstrated in your work. Koz also released a special hair pose package for Long Hair Evo V3 that adds to the variety of the hair poses.
BTW, I find that As Shanim's Liltsure Long Hair flows like wind -- another realistic-looking hair with great poses.

Neftis also makes realistic hair (mostly for male characters).
I think her Anders Hair and Perfect Touch Hair look realistic, too.
Thread: Question on newer figures, V3 vs Judy vs Jesse | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
In making simple walk animations with the Poser WalkDesigner, I found that unimesh figures like V3 not compatible. V3's body semi-collided together while walked in zombie like crooked way in animations created using Poser's WalkDesigner. But I did that animation test about 2 years ago, and maybe there has been update for V3 to work better with Poser animations.
However, as time goes by, I gradually like V3 the most for the vast amount of contents (clothings, textures, hair, etc) that have been created for her. And in a time-killing hobby, I sometimes spend my free time browsing the RM to see what character morphs are selling. And I find that V3 has the greatest variety of beautiful custom facial morphs available for sale. Therefore, when not making animations, I often use V3, and sometimes Miki or Stephanie3, to morph my characters.
I echo the opinion that P5 Judy's Face Room morphs are more flexible than P6 Jessi's Face Room, but I haven't tried using magnets function to change Jessi's face yet. Maybe when I get the hang of magnet function, I'll like Jessi better.

I forgot to put in the V3Male morphs. It's not a base figure, but in creating natural looking male characters, V3Male morphs does a better job than M3 (to me).
Thread: Poser 5 : Super Big Saved-file Size? 90MB -- Is it normal? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thank you Morgano for your info.
Actually I'm trying to figure out "how to delete multiple channels at once" myself, too.
I've just posted the question above in another thread.
I do hope that there is some way to get that done.
Best!
