No.
Akio should be in your Figures / DAZ Akio 3 folder and select the figure you want to load.
The imported one will not move.
the Akio3 base is free now till march
Download and reinstall that and try again.

Well depends on what program you are using?
In Daz at top of page select tools and then select Node Selection.
Now just click on the part you want to move and use the sliders on the right.
to move that part. There are also a lot of predefined pose's available here and at Daz.

I myself My not be the greatest artist But I try .
I Use Bryce and Daz quit a bit as a start for my
artwork I just recently got Poser7 and so far I find
it very cumbersome. The only reason I got it is
because of the items not supported by Daz.
I try to load stuff in Poser and wonder what the %$3
do I do now. I have used Bryce sense version 4.
I would like to figure out Poser but its just to
backward for me.
Sorry got off track.
I do not understand How hard is it to download a
free version of Daz and Load what you have designed
Look at it and say wow I guess It does not work in Daz.
And sense they do not like daz for what ever reason
( they do not want to admit that Daz is better :-) )
Just say BOLDLY Bugger Off Daz users Poser only.
That way we will not give them any of our hard earned money.
And find a merchant who really cares.

Quote - I think the Poser 7 looks for Runtimes rather than content (not sure if that is what you are meaning) but you can add a Runtime with the little plus and hunt for it and then it will be there.
I never saw that option I might reinstall and look

You may find that some items do not show
what I do is load the item then render as a 90x90
and save as a png with the same name as the item
( the cr2, pz2 or pp2 name ) and place in the same
folder as the selected item.

I I would try Poser as I have Poser 7, BUT and that’s a big BUT
Poser has no place that I was able to find to tell it where you keep
your Runtime directory. Mine is kept on an external network drive
as the content is over 300 gigs. I uninstalled it and stayed with Daz.
In my opinion the Daz tree is much better the first plus is that you
can go into Preferences and point to it. If you have a problem Daz
is just an email or phone call away, they are always very helpful.

All well and good. I use Daz and have had no problems
I wanted to try Poser 7 so after Installation I tried to set it up
my problem with poser is that it will not see my Runtime
folders. My content is quite large and thus stored on a T1
external drive. Poser only sees the runtime within its tree
and I found no place to point it to my Runtime directories
I gave up trying it and uninstalled it as I found no help
anywhere. With Daz its only an email or phone call away
they have always been very helpful.
My Runtime is over 300gigs I cannot put it in Poser folder
to just try it out.

In Daz select the surfaces Tab on the left.
Then select Tools at the top and select Surface Selection.
You can now select a surface and apply a texture to it.
Under Advanced You will see Diffuse / Color, Select Little black
triangle go to Browse and select the Texture you want
.You my need to create a bump map for transparencies
One thing you could do is load different objects and see how its put together
Like Hair and check the different surfaces and see what’s making it Look
the way it does. Once you see it its not to hard to figure out.
If You look at Color bar and there is a name under it click on the name and
select Browse that will take you to the folder that texture is in.
If the color bar just has a black triangle click on the triangle and browse
to a texture or materials folder and select the tex you want. Play with
the adjustments until you get it the way you want.
Good Luck and happy rendering
