not used DS for long time.

in every content folder, I never see contents- particular poses, characters etc- the little png images representing them.

where do I enable viewing the thumbnails of content of the folders?

If you can see the foldrs but nothing in them then you are viewing a Poser content folder as a DAZ|Studio content folder or vice versa. My guess is, from your description, that you have selected the folder 9probably at the wrong level - you need the folder that holds the Runtime folder) as a D|S content directory when it's actually Poser content: in Edit>Preferences>Directories you use the button at the top to select which type of content folder you are adding.

You may find that some items do not show
what I do is load the item then render as a 90x90
and save as a png with the same name as the item
( the cr2, pz2 or pp2 name ) and place in the same
folder as the selected item.
