Thread: Product Promotion Proposal ... | Forum: Community Center
Yes but some people think there is more to this site than buying, selling and making money. Anyway I'm passing on this one now.
Thread: Product Promotion Proposal ... | Forum: Community Center
"Because, frankly? The merchants are paying the bills. If every single merchant took their products out of the marketplace, Renderosity would have a /very/ small income from outside sources buying banner space, and that's it." Well I'm not sure how to take that reply. I hope it doesn't mean what it sounds like which is, frankly, a threat. "If you could turn the flag off anyway, why would you CARE?" Read ClintH's response above "it was the community that wanted the Product Showcase forum so we introduced it as requested." And how do you expect us to MAKE 'Interesting' use of the space when we can't even get feedback in the forums. Well you are the merchants. Work out what your customers want. Maybe the merchants can get together and work out some ideas on how to pull customers in. Regular freebies that are add ons to existing products might work, competitions. There are many ways to market yourself just lets keep a little sanctuary please.

The world is full of adverts. Why do we need to flood every corner with them. The market place, the product showcase gallery and forum are free space for advertising, advice, feedback etc, that this site gives to merchants why do we need more. Perhaps if the merchants made more interesting use of the space they already have then they might atract more interest.
Thread: Nudes in the galleries. | Forum: Community Center
Hi sorry went away for a few days. No I wasn't joking I just it would be simpler to have a nude genre so what ever the technique or program used all nudes would be in one place. This would serve as a place for all kinds of nudes wether they be artistic nude, tittilating nude, pinups or cheese cake nudes (whatever they are) and, also, open up an area for artistic nude studies specifically. This does seem to be very much a neglected area at Renderosity. Ane yes it would cut out alot of problems concerning nudity as it would be all in one easily defined area and, therefore, a lot easier to avoid should you so choose.

Hi Deecey. How are you? sorry I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one. The Market Place is a small part of this community. One of many small parts. There is a separate forum just about for everything including product showcase. If people want to know about latest developments they know where to go just as they do if they are interested in Fractals for example. There are a lot of us particularly those of us who are not involved with Poser who use this site as the community that it was origionally set up for and don't want product reviews etc cropping up in the other forums. There is the Product Forum, most of the home page, the pruct showcase gallery, the Market place and all the banner ads for products. It's nice to have a few areas that are ad free.

That's weird because I haven't noticed any images being deleted since yesterday in the world event/politics genre. Who was it by? Anyway, if it has been deleted, that solves the perceived problem doesn't it?

I think you must be looking in a different gallery to me because I cannot find anything there that "has so much foul language" or "especially ones that are filled with such hate" or any that or against the TOS. I'm sure if there are any or were any then they have been removed. Which is probably why this thread was started of course because of the removal of offensive images.

"World Events/Political gallery" seems pretty even to me. Some left; some right; which is what you would expect in a political gallery. Any particular images you consider unacceptable?
Thread: Who do I contact? | Forum: Community Center
I think it's meant to be broader than just 11th of Sept memorial. "Welcome to the Memorial Gallery. This is a place to share memories about people or other things that have touched your life. It might be a person, pet, or an item ... whatever has meaning to you and now you have to let go. Losing something or someone that you love is difficult. We send our sympathies and provide this gallery as a place to pay tribute. Thank you."
Thread: HELP! I'm new to making digital pictures and need some help! | Forum: Community Center
it's not what you buy that counts it's what you do with the tools you have that counts. I wouldn't waste your money on Market Place items till you are familar with the app you prefer. Some of the best art here does not have a huge list of bought items under it but some of the worst does :) A lot of "artists" here never learn how to use Poser correctly because they buy everything; lights, poses, textures etc press the render button and hey presto "art" but they still make fundemental errors because they never learn how to do things for themselves. I suggest you avoid that route.
Thread: The Fannies dont look Right | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Let's be honest the same can be said about the breasts, the neck, the eyes, the arms..................... That's Poser for you. With a huge amount of post work reasonable results can be achieved but then why use Poser in the first place when better results can be achieved in Photoshop.
