My favorite things to go with Vicki are the flip hair (DAZ), the Vicki clothing pack (DAZ), Burton's Sweater and Skirt set (@ DAZ), Voluptuous Vicki (here), the face morphs that duanemoody already mentioned (esp. Connie Caucastion, albeit turned down to 0.400 or 0.500), and of course I'm partial to my "020901 Texture for Victoria." There are other things too, but really other things fall into personal preference or what sort of work you are doing.

Just to comment to Jim Burton, not to take anything away from the online stores you are selling at, but the reason you are doing well is because you make some kick a** stuff.

The best all around codec is Sorenson, unless you are dropping it to tape for broadcast. Works great on Macs and PC.
Thread: New Digital Cameras | Forum: Photography
I guess I'd like to get a digital camera, because it can get the shots into the computer pronto, but I'm still using my good ole Canon T1 35mm and scanning in the stuff. Or rent a small format camera and scan in the transparency. Although I haven't had time to keep up with the advances in quality and speed. Could someone maybe post some examples of the cameras they like? Thanks!
Thread: Mimic | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I haven't tried it, but Mimic really isn't very processor demanding. I would guess it would work to run Mimic on a Mac using Virtual PC. The second least expensive method would be to videotape someone saying what you want said and match your animation to the video. I've done it, it takes time, but it looks more realistic than Mimic. Although time is money, as they say.

About the least expensive solution I can think of is find someone that has Mimic for a PC, give them the audio/txt that you want coverted to a speech animation, and have them give you the file that Mimi creates. I haven't tried it, but it should work.
Thread: Faking the Hair in Poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well, I guess the post work on rendered hair doesn't bother me as much as just using hair dropped from a photograph. But I guess to each their own. Perhaps because I am more interested in animation than stills it bothers me more than others. I think the Vicki Flip Hair and other hairs mentioned above are pretty darn good, and agree post work is still often needed. Which is a pain in animations, because I have to go frame by fram in After Effects. Has anyone seen the trailer for Final Fantasy? The hair in there is very good, but still seems to move heavy. But still some of the best I've seen. Also doing certain hairs in Lightwave is easier with the collision detectors. But for putting a quick one with decent quality together, Poser works pretty well.

OK. I'll take a stab at it. Is it possible that this user is seeing the Photoshop icons (from some previous PS install, maybe an LE version)? And they want to size it down from 2000 x 2000 pixels to something more manageable? But their computer won't open it because it thinks it needs Photoshop to open it? Maybe tell this person to open the paint program they want to use first, then go to open file, rather than double clicking on the icon trying to get it to open. Also maybe they are having trouble finding the materials once they are in Poser, and can't find where the textures are sitting on the hard drive, and that for simplicity if they copy it to Poser 4/Runtime/Textures and create or put the folder there, it will be easier to find. I said "maybe" so many times because I am, obviously, guessing. I've trained people to use Photoshop and other software, so just trying to remember what some of their problems were.
