I believe that is the Victoria to P4 body character created with installation of V2 - not the P4PPP software.

That is so cool! When DAZ sent to all renderosity members the freebie - I was one of those who didn't get the message. TY
Thread: Wanting to upgrade to poser 5....not sure | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Actually, I would list your hardware/OS and then ask the question... Right out of the box on first release - almost everything worked but the time was unforgivable (am a contractor so cant spend that much time just loading a program and an eon to render animation). Using xppro on a 1.8 with 512 meg was a drag (however, 2.1 sr sped that up a bit) so I put together a new machine with massive harddrive and 2.8cpu and 1gig mem with 4096 virtual mem and turned off xp cute desktop stuff and now cant tell the difference [w/sr release] between PPP load and my P5. However, when loading from laptop (which is allowed by cl) with 128meg only 10g free harddisk P4 650? - I want to shoot myself. Luckily, only use laptop at poolside or if in bed with cold/hangover/headache/etc. So the big question is - what computer/os/mem/hd are you using? Then make the decision to upgrade. And you definitely want to keep your p4/PPP seperate from P5 for those quickie jobs! P5 will let you add the P4/PPP runtime to the P5 libary so you don't have to duplicate libraries. I personally think is worth the upgrade/addition but that's just one poor souls opinion.

Dang, you folks are good, no operating info, no hardware info and you know the answers! Me, I am very proud to be a member here! I program xml but never even noticed that sr2.1 called it... Uhmmm, what is it that the xml code is calling btw?
Thread: Pro Pack & P5 Question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
TY, LDLD, being an ex-student of the "english degree" (or in other words - lookiing to write the great american novel); I really appreciate the fun of our new "computer language era" and hope to add more bad/worser [teehee; again] words to our vocabulary! ;-) Drives my "proper speaking" husband nutz - so totally worth making up new words!@! You have been the first to note [that I have seen] that if there was not a learning curve to this release - then it would not have been a major upgrade - Bravo! Muddilly yours...
Thread: SAMS3D - A Contest to WIN IT ALL - Starts now.... | Forum: Contest Announcements
I had same problem - the geometries directory is always sams3d (me bad child and change library info) - at least for the freebies and purchases that I have - Hope that helps some to find the items... Good luck!

Thread: Making dynamic clothes for Poser 5 using Rhino ??? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hmmm, cant remember link/forum but doesnt rhino make multi faced clothe? Clothi-fying [hee hee 'nother new word] doesnt like the multi-sided stuff. Check PhilC (he actually has a tutorial that explains what cloth room wants) or nerd they both seem to have a handle on the clothing room. Good luck.
Thread: Pro Pack & P5 Question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
What features are you looking for? Some of the export styles are not implemented. If you want to have flowing clothe (not in PPP), create hair (not in PPP), make "bones", compressed files, etc. then that is covered. Flash works 2 (well as well as anything vectorized can work... muddilly (hey, new word!?)). The problem is usually not enough mem, harddrive (for paging), need defrag and [was/may still be] Nvideo cards. I created a new machine, P4 2.8 with 1gig mem and tons of harddrive and pretty much dedicated it to all my 3d (ie old machine has office products, banking etc - new machine is carrera, canoma, bryce, poser, autocad, etc.) with a dual monitor sys which is really great with the animation/hierarchy/etc being in 2nd monitor while working close up with my P5. So far, have found that when I am doing large animation renders (700 frames and above in Production Rendering) that I need to make sure my harddisk is well defragged (using XPpro-AdminTool-ComputerManagement) and have my page mem set to min 4096 to max 4096. Have heard many complain, and when I first tried to run P5 on my old xppro with all the cutzy operating xppro desktop stuff on.... I 2 complained. Turned of cute stuff and immediately found speed - set my preference to NOT load P5 character and found even more speed. Dont care for their characters [P5] and have not had any problems running my PPP characters, clothes, poses, etc. but what really tricks me out is the material room as I have found that I can merge multiple textures like my other 3d apps allow me to do. So there is my 2Cents. Hope it helps. Oh yeah, P5 contains characters from PPP and of course, P4 animals people etc. that we have seen since version 1 on up to 4. Is definitely learning curve for the new rooms but all my PPP stuff came over and rendered/animated without much ado.

Thread: Slow Response | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
if you have the xp look - it will drastically slow down. Chnge to classic look. Also, when was last time harddisk was defrag? and how much virtual mem (harddisk paging) is setup? I have a 2.8 with 1gig mem and it slowed me down when i had xppro's cutesy desktop settings. changed it plus changed my pagemem and now it goes very well. Also, if you havent done it yet - set your preferences without a figure so you dont have to wait for ever for default to load.
Thread: Poser 5 to shochwave? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well, I dont know the legalities but if it is one of your meshes (ie your creation) - would be happy to export for you. I use a lot of animation (talking heads) so the w3d has never done me any good. If anyone knows... is it legal for me to export someone else's meshes to shockwave with their permission? I would believe is ok but who knows these days ;-)
Thread: Adding different textures to your character | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The answer will depend on which version of poser you are using. Poser 5 will allow you to meld multiple textures to group/figure in Materials room. In p4 - is under render materials and you can apply a single texture to part or full figure. Would suggest a jump to here: http://www.fallencity.net/lore/p-transparencies.php Very good tutorials. Plus the very generous and informational Dr. Geep stuff there.
Thread: probably a boring question ... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
XP pro runs it fine - just turn off the cutesie stuff if you are limited on memory. When you first install P5 [to bypass the serial registration] - before running P5 program - run the updates and then you don't have to do the online register thing. I put together new machine and had bad motherboard so ended up installing XPpro 4 times and had to call microsoft to install OS but when I reinstalled for fourth time the P5, just updated with downloaded SR2.1 and wasn't required to do online register.
