Hi, I've encountered this problem, too. It is not as extreme as in the referenced thread, but more like you in real world you can identify the existence of a totally transparent glass plane by the refraction / reflection on its edge. Something similar sometimes seems to happen to objects having materials with transparency when the sun is right behind it shining through it that you can see the outer edge of the object even where it should be completely transparent.

The scene is very beautiful and romantic. But I agree on the ambient light. There should be less to strengthen the colors and depth. Also, a little blur in the background would improve the effect of distant. Most textures are really nice, but the one on the middle rock in the background looks somewhat strange to me. Overall, definitely very promising. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished version :-)

Without being told, I wouldn't have guessed it's a first run. Looks very nice.
