Well, it is true that a modeler or a sketcher most of the time doesn't get the recognition they deserves. As I also think if the post work on a 3D art extend the limit such a way that it changes the entire content of the original render; the artist should consider it posting in Mix Medium. BUT, wait, you don't have to agree or argue with me here, this is just what I think. Of course it's upto the artist where s/he wants to post. On the other hand Poser is indeed a very necessary tool, since Vue can't do human or live modeling. So, it can never be "Poserosity". I don't agree with everything that is happening in Renderosity, AND I also know world doesn't revolve around me! If you (muller) feel disturbed about two women kissing each other or two guys fighting on loincloths, just talk to the mods. But, this is not the way!!! Certainly, you can't point on few artists, just because you don't like their works. If you have something affirmative to offer, say it otherwise don't say anything to offend others. This way, ppl won't support you by "messages" or "email"; they will support you publicly. OK, I THINK I HAVE GIVEN TOO MUCH ATTENTION TO THIS THREAD, SO MOVING ALONG!!! PS. Whether a "real" Vue artist or "fake", pmermino, for your brilliant skill, you have my utter respect.

Djeser, you beat me to it. I was writting something like this as well. :-) I belong all the way bottom of the food chain; I go to school, maintain a full time job and also freelance for a company. Yet everyday I budget atleast 20 minutes for this gallery and go through every picture that is posted on that day. If I like 'em I comment and if I like it very much I rank then on extreme case I vote. Only because I post here too and some of the artists do spend few moments to leave comments on my images. That's all I care about. :-) I couldn't agree more with you guys, it is a community and everyone should act like it. About the vote & ranking, I don't know man; I have seen so many pictures (may be including mine :-)....) get excellent rating, which does raise questions. :-) PS. By the way, Kutter, I'm patiently waiting for those textures from your vacation. :-)

Kutter, thanks for pointing out the Hot 20, some of the best of this week! Last time I visited there was when you posted a msg in this forum stating that you made #1 there. :-) PS. Quiet contrary I do somewhat agree with Gaussian...

Yeah, I bookmarked it too and will check it out time to time. I like the layout a lot....simple yet very effective. Well done! PS. You should scan some of your oil paints and post them there too. We are missing out another bright side of yours....unless, you want all of us to go visit your house. :-)

Funny that Grunthor brought out this NICE topic! :-) My across the street neighbor has one of the most beautiful lawn I've ever seen. Last week I noticed that the dry maple leaves fell on the lawn which they didn't clean up yet. The very FIRST thing that came in my mind was, "That's a great texture." ..lol Then I asked for their permission to take a picture of the lawn. A bit surprised they said, "Sure". When I returned from my house with my SLR camera and start taking picture of it from different angle; I swear the poor old lady (my neighbor) came to me and start feeling my temperature! ..lol Then I certainly had the same thought as Grunthor! :-) PS. Agiel, that's the best meeting conversation I've hard in months. :-)

forgot to mention ... After #3 ... if it couldn't fix the problem ... get all the windows 98 updates & install them. That should do it. If not, #4 ...

Don't worry, no one is laughing at you. I have one of those in my house too. Anyway, Win 98 itself is an amusement park. It's very hard to pin point exactly why it's not saving jpg (in 98). As 98 has a serious registry issue, that even all the service pack couldn't fix. But, you can go through a series of check list and see if they help ... 1. I don't think Temp file has anything to do with it. 2. If it is your hard drive, I don't know ... I've never seen such case. But it never hurts to keep it clean and make back ups. Some times defrag solves lots of problems. 3. If the above don't help, then you need to run the "anti-virus" program, NOT the "scan disk". Perdon my saying, my 3 yr old niece does a better job cleaning my PC, then scan disk. 4. Your machine is quiet close to Vue's minimum requirement. So, it very much be that the software is lacking on enough resources. See if you can save a picture from online or from photoshop in "jpg" format. If you can, then you know Vue might need a reinstall or more resources. hope it helps.

OK, UZ give us a bit more about your system & hardware informations. This seems to me an OS problem. I can TRY to figure out the reason, but I'll be needing those info. Defragment problem you having is pretty simple. There are some OR at least one program running in the background, while you do defrag. That's why every time Defrag encountars that program it gives you an error msg and stops. Just shut down your anti-virus, firewall etc etc before you defrag and it should do the job fine. Even though I hardly doubt defrag has anything to do with JPG option.

Usually when we create a website ('we' mean the company), We do something similar to what agiel said. What I would suggest is little bit more work ... for example - "Last Updated Sept 29th, 2011. (c) 2003-2011 @ Thomas Krahn. All rights reserved." >>>HTML code is as agiel said "&169" for (c) And if possible add "water marks" in your every pictures or at least a signature underneathe the pictures. Given the artistic quality of your pictures, it's well worth getting the water mark done in them. :-) Looking forward to see your website Thomas.
