the problem is the internal name for the figures, the reason you are having a problem is becuase the mike's internal name will change when you add him after the other figure, and so when you try and apply the morph, it will not apply them to the right figure (and that alien fella cant take mikes morphs, so nothing happens) either add all the morphs seperate, or add the alien thing, go into the properties, and change its name to something else, then add mike in. that should fix it

oh, I have 3 replica swords in my possession, and each are created as they would have been in the olden days, with the proper materials, and the two handed long sword weighs enough that any though of fighting with it one-handed would quickly fade away after a swing or two. japanese-steel on the otherhand is so light it's like its not real! now THATS a sword!

parhaps many of you didnt visit the actual gallery image, and read the little story to it, or my previous image which shows alot more into the troll in my fantasy universe! anyway, I have decided on the next image, unfortunately for all you comedians out there, the tree doesnt win (I was EXTREMELY tempted) but I wanted to keep it more serious I'll post a smaller version here when its done, and of course the full version, and the story of the action in my gallery

chainmail and leather it may be, but the troll is about 5 times stronger that our huge fellow on the left, and that power behind a MACE (crushing weapon) would kill in 1 blow (in real life, not the fantasy world we all dream of perhaps!) oh, and the mace is actually so close to identicle in length its uncanny (or on purpose LOL) ;o)

Thread: Nudity does not equal art. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I both agree and disagree. Nudity without being marked is WRONG, Violence should be marked, but can be a hard one to do, an image anticipating violence for instance may offend someone, but others do not see it as violence as there is no actual violence occuring in the image. if you look through my gallery, I have CRAPLOADS of "just-nude-vickie" images, but 1, they are all marked, 2 the reason they are so simple is because they are material and shader node tests. why do I upload these? people are interested, and most of the time, a quick IM will get you the material from me. saying that violent based art should not be here, or is not artistic is so very historicly incorrect, look at classic art, such as those from wars, or even biblical images, violence, blood and gore everywhere. so I disagree with you here. all those poeple that come to these discussions only to say something along the lines of :Here we go again, or like I havent heard that before, and other smart ass comments need to just simply leave it out. there are new people joining everyday, and they will have never seen these discussions before (although not new, as with the HOT 20, this is my first sighting of a nudity and/or violence thread) and the only outcome of such comments are that you look like 1:an idiot, and 2:a bitch (sorry for the language) oh, and while Im giving another spill, people who put, "get out the popcorn" (especially moderators, BAD!) should stop it, it's like saying "I dont take you or your opinion seriously, I just think its entertaining" there you go LOL

Thread: Out of memory error in P6 with 1280 megs of RAM... (Windows XP) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
man, I've NEVER had this popup, I get the render stopping mid way and the like (happened in P5 too), take a look in my gallery at my last two images, there complex! (especially the last one, with over 250 props, 2 figures, complete with armour and weapons! IBL, AO, and multiple other lights. not one memory error (except for renders cutting out) that last image went to over 2000mb of memory use when rendering! (so I split it into 3 parts to get it to complete the render, but it never bugged out on me I cant see why it happens to some and not others

I have a skullcap with a texture on it that looks like hair, its very handy for creating dynamic hair because the scalp never shows through, I dont use pre-made dynamic hair, and this is the only skull cap I use, I guess I thought they were all like that, oh well.

the skullcap is inside the head, so you will need to either scale it so its outside the head, or use magnets, whichever works best. as for the hands and other body parts, thats easy. choose the body part (say hand) and check collision detection, then to apply that to all the fingers and bits, click apply collision setting to children. generally it is a bad idea to have colliison detection set on the head (I use low-res spheres positioned and scaled to the general shape of the head(ensuring that no part of the spheres are touching the skullcap so you dont get calculation problems!)

Thread: dynamic pants | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
yes, they will do that, its simply (at time frustrating) a matter of running the dynamics and letting everything fall, then moving through the frames until the parts are seperated, but not folded over etc (around frame 10 in a 30 frame calculation is usually good) and and selecting the vertices for the scalp, and the tops of the hair strips (the parts of the strips that are in/touch the scalp). a point to remember, don't I repeat DO NOT have self collision turned on unless you want 300+ seconds of calcs per frame!

I created a pair of dynamic hipsters ages ago, I'll look to see if I still have them when I next get the chance.
here is an image of them in action :
is this the type of thing you want? thats dynamic hair too! not from the hair room mind you, conforming hair turned into dynamic cloth and run through a simulation!
