She is definately a beauty! Very nice work, and it appears that you have put quite some research into this. If I want to find something that could need improvement it's the blue eye color that looks a bit artificial, a little too blue. But it might be the lighting!
Thread: stupid question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
For saving screen captures like ronknights above, I have used SnagIt from www.techsmith.com for years, and it is a great little program. It lets you capture anything on the screen (the whole screen, a window, a section indicated with the cursor) by giving a simple shortcut command. You can set it to save the captured pic in the clipboard memory so that you can just paste it to any document by using the standard "paste" command.
Thread: problems with vue | Forum: Vue
I just solved my "Vue-crashes-randomly-problem" by unchecking "Enable background draw thread" in the Options dialogue. Now it's possible for me to run Vue with OpenGL enabled despite the fact that Vue and my video card has something against each other!
Thread: Modify path in winzip. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Never heard of such a program, but if someone has, please tell. I always unzip the free stuff in a separate folder to see how the directories are structured. I then open a new Explorer window with the Poser directories visible and drag and drop the differnt folders between the windows until everything is in their proper places. Doesn't take much time and it allows me to control where things end up in the Poser directories.
Thread: I have a problem | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It might be that Poser did not find the obj file associated with the clothing item. In the clothing items cr2-file (located in the runtimelibrariescharacter folder) you can see where Poser expects the obj file to be. As an example, if you open the cr2 file for the bikini top in a text editor, you will find the following in the beginning of the text: figureResFile :Runtime:Geometries:Poser4Clothes:Bikini:BikiniTop.obj When loading the item, the file BikiniTop.obj must be located according to the path above, otherwise you will get an error message. It can also be a problem with a corrupt rsr file associated with the obj file. I'm not exactly sure how to fix that, but it has been discussed in many threads before, do a search in this Forum! The "not enough memory" message seems to be something that Poser assumes for a variety of reasons, not necessarily associated with an actual memory problem. Taking care of the first problem will probbaly fix this one too!
Thread: Question/Help: Changing Icons in Poser for Poses, etc. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
An easy way is to apply the pose to a character and then save the pose as a new one in the library (click on the little plus sign). The icon will then become identical to what you see in your main window.
Thread: Crashes | Forum: Vue
I have experienced crashes in Vue when I had the OpenGL feature enabled. With OpenGL turned off, it works very smooth. I suppose they have some problems with certain video cards.

Thread: Newbie question about Poser4, Millennium and Propack =) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
"Millenium" refers to the millenium characters (Michael and Victoria) that are sold by DAZ (www.daz3d.com). They are the most versatile characters around and a great addition to Poser. To use the stuff in the MarketPlace and FreeStuff that are created for the millenium characters, you need to buy them first. The items will, with very few exceptions, not work with the standard Poser characters. ProPack is an extension to Poser with enhanced functionality provided by the manufacturer, Curious Labs. Read more about it on www.curiouslabs.com.

As a consultant in customer relationship management, I consider this an almost unbelievable attempt by a software company to totally destroy its credibility. This is the stuff that makes great case studies to use in CRM seminars... Thanks! I would just like to ask: (1) Which customers does CL consider most valuable ones: The ones they already have and that have paid for their software and that without doubt will pay for an upgrade too. Or the dishonest, potential customers that stole the software and that might, if they are honest (!) enough, consider paying for it if they get a hefty discount by proving that they are thiefs? (2) Why does a company that is supported by the strongest and most loyal community I have ever seen in the software business risk its reputatation by legalising criminal behaviour? The very same behaviour that the community in question strongly opposes against in forums like this one? (3) Why should I pay for the upgrade to Poser 5 if I can steal it? It is after all OK with CL to do so. Three very important questions to think about. The third one is simple, the other two requires some thinking from CL.
Thread: anyone ever dealt with Renderotica ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I run a firewall on my computer, and it has never reported any probing attempts from Renderotica.

A way to see transmapped hair when posing it is to select the hair in the Materials dialogue box and set the "Transparency Max" slider to 0%. That makes the hair visible, but don't forget to change it back to 100% before rendering.

Thread: off topic - virus alert | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
You are correct, scifiguy, of course it can infect any computer, not only computers running Outlook. However, it was believed when it was first spread around that it will only distribute itself through address books in Outlook, but that might be proven wrong. Anyway, everyone must be careful when receiving suspicious e-mail attachments, regardless of which e-mail client they use. The files containing the virus alway shas one of the following extensions: .pif .scr Therefore it's quite easy to spot it just by looking at the file name. It is also easy to filter out form a corporate mail server just by deleting all incoming mails with attachments with these file extensions.
Thread: Victoria's Texture Settings | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yes, ronknights, it appears so. The easiest thing to do is actually to look directly at any Victoria map in a picture editing software. There you will see clearly which parts of her body that is to be found on which map.
