Victoria 2.0 from DAZ can be morphed into a variety of less-than-perfect shapes, no problem with that. The standard Poser female (affectionately known as Posette) has more limitations, though, so I advise you to buy Victoria with your Poser.

I have a low-res version of the back ground texture in my etxture folder, but I can't remember where I got it... Would love to have the high res version, though, it looks great!

I have recieved a couple of mails containing this virus. It only affects Microsoft Outlook users. If you are using another e-mail client, you just delete the mail and you are safe. Netscape users will notice that the attachment containing the virus is not even visible as an attachment, so they can't even open it and cause any harm. A friend using Outlook got this virus in his system, and it does cause a lot of problems, but fortunately it's easy to clean off your system by following the intructions you find on the link provided by scifuguy above. This is a malicious virus, but easy to avoid with the usual rule: Don't open e-mail attachment you dont trust!!

As several pointed out, you just have to compare the price of Poser stuff to other 3D goods to realize that it's good value for money. And why is it that? Because many people buy it! That is the only thing that keeps the price down for items that has only non-material value, meaning no value in the sense of raw material. A very simple rule that applies to every market. The almost fanatical community around Poser means that the developers have a huge market for their stuff. To keep that market they need to do two things: - Develop even better stuff. That costs money. - Keep the price down so that hobby people such as myself can buy it The only way to solve that equation is to make sure that people pay for the goods. The more people that do, the more development resources there will be for future goods. vronsky, can you please tell me how we can do it your way? Who will develop the software and all the other stuff if we don't pay for it? How will the Poser community benefit from us stealing? Will the next version of Poser and Vicky/Mike be even better if we didn't pay for the present versions? Sorry, I have a hard time believing that...

Well, Catharina, we have all been tricked by these kind of hoaxes. The fact that they turn up is a good reminder that we should be on alert, since there are real viruses out there. Everytime a hoax like this turns up, we should be reminded that: 1. Never open unknown e-mail attachments 2. Always have a good anti virus software installed 3. Scan suspicious files before opening them It is also a good idea to always check the sites of Symantec, McAfee and the likes when in doubt. A very good independent resource about virus myths and hoaxes is www.vmyths.com, they continuously update their archive with new hoaxes. So, I think the thread serves it purpose of reminding everyone to be careful. You just proved that you are. The people that makes "real" viruses will not be as succesful as they are if everyone was as careful as you are.

Victoria 2.0 from DAZ (www.daz3d.com) is probably the most versatile model you can get, it has a multitude of facial morphs and expressions that you can use. You also need a photorealistic texture. DAZ's own texture for Vicky is good and you can find several very good ones on this site. A good tip is to take a look at the textures made by Stefyzz and Magnet, search on their names in the Renderosity MarketPlace.

A tip: If you have a problem finding a newly created light in a complex scene such as a building, you can always increase the parameter dial "Scale". This does not affect the lighting, but it makes the wireframe representation of the spot light larger and easier to find in the document window.

Poser can not do this for you. Tile the textures in e.g. Paintshop Pro and save it as a new picture before you apply it to the object in Poser.

Be sure that the Document Display Style is set to "Texture Shaded" when you save the character. That is the easiest way to create a thumbnail with the texture visible.
