Thread: Point Light Bio-Sphere Condominiums . . . . . | Forum: Vue
You should be happy with your PIII500, I'm runing Vue on a PII400 !!! Thing that looks strange for me is the number of objects and the slowing down of Vue... this scene don't look so complex for me... weird. :-/

Cool picture. Your armor metal texture remind me the one I built for the "Paladine" in my gallery. Your sky looks beautifull... How did you made the horse's armor textures ?

Hey, there's a truly cool idea behind this !!! I like the general looking of this scene, but I think you can do a real impressive scene with working more on this. I hope that you won't misunderstand me, I really like this scene...
Thread: W.I.P-added some lights...... | Forum: Vue
You'll probably think that I insist (and surely I !!!) but checking your global lighting settings to "solar", in the atmosphere editor, could really solve lots of your problems and occurs a more accurate control on your lights... Err... except that, did I say that your picture is really cool ? Nope, I suppose I didn't... err... yes ! now it's done !!! ;-)

Maybe, in your atmosphere editor, you can use the scene light option and slide it to "solar", and not "ambiant". (I hope my english is clear :-D)

Yes, I agree, this picture is really cool ! Lighting is great, atmosphere is sober but great, construction is simple but effective (even if my own feeling lead me to more complexes scenes), in brief, I like this one. For me, this picture could approach perfection with keeping its simplicity -there's nothing to add : no vegetation, no other character, no more complexe sky, etc...- but with inprovments on details : textures, pose of the character, small fixing of lights for enhance the dramatic mood... that sort of things. I'll surely look for your furture works !!!
Thread: Disgusting ! ! ! | Forum: Vue
Ah yes ! The first person that try to be REALLY disgusting with that monthly challenge !!! Not that I am particulary addicted to this kind of stuff, but, as Marvilla said (was it him ?), we always post nice pictures on this forum. It's the first time we have the occasion to make bad looking images. Thank you kuzr !!! I can believe that I posted this message ! :-)

Just because I'm a *** (put the bad word you want here), it looks to me that the buildings loods too clean for me. OK, there's a contrast effect between the front 'swamp' and the background buildings, but... Don't think I don't like this picture. It's all the other way (Is that good english ???). I like (especially texture of water and general lights and colors) it but I feel it could be much rusted, ruined, Muddy...

I can answer ! It's always the same way to use a jpg/bmp as color/bump/transparence. Go to the right tab (color/bump/trans) and click on "new" button. On the dialog box, click on "image" and load your picture. And yes, you can make a single mat using three times the same picture for different fonction. You can even use a picture for distribution of blended materials. Hope it can helps
