Personally I've never had any serious trouble at any of the "major" Poser-related venues. So far my experiences with everyone has been more or less positive. That said, my preference is for shopping at DAZ whenever possible. The reason for that is simple. I know if I don't like something I bought, I can get a refund. I've only had to do that a few times, and it was a painless procedure for me. Knowing i have that cushion of security makes me more willing to plunk down my money if I'm iffy about a given product. On top of that, they sometimes give out things like the V3 voucher in question. Eh, what can I say, it's kinda nice to get those things every now and then.

Let me preface this by saying I'm not trying to be a wisea--. I'm genuinely curious. What it seems like you're saying (going by your wording in the above post), is that if there were no copyright on an (for example) X-Wing for a 3D model, someone could make one and just use a different name for it (to avoid the Trademark). Is that right?

How great would it be if Koz and Quarker made some short hair styles for the male figures!

Add me to the list of Quarker fans. They look great and they come with loads of morphs.

I think a lot of the people who post here will agree that Poser (or most any other app) is a bit daunting the very first time you fire it up. My suggestion is to just spend an afternoon playing with the program. I know it probably doesn't sound all that helpful to you know, but it will pay off. Try different things. See what happens when you select certain things from the menu or the interface. Get used to the various commands and options. And of course as others have mentioned be sure to check the faq and tutorials.

You know what would be really funny? This DAZ interview with Koz turns out to be just that, an interview. You know, like one of the many online interviews with other Poser-celebrities?

I always thought it would be neat to see a full comic done with Anime Doll. Unfortunately--as others have mentioned--the lack of a compatible (in style) male figure (plus clothing) does limit what you can do. Personally I use Koshini + Ichiro for my comic (Spook Chasers in my gallery, check it out, plug, plug). Sorry couldn't resist.

Interesting. I've never heard of Battleship being the answer. Every time I've heard the "what's long and hard" joke, the answer has been submarine. What an educational thread! :)

I was pleasantly surprised to see that TransPoser supports Poser 4 but like others I'm waiting to hear how well it supports Poser4 running in OSX Classic mode. Importing figures manually does get a bit tedious, but like Echo I've done it enough where it's not too much of a big deal.

Online identity confusion is always fun. For awhile I used to go onto IRC regularly. Sometimes I would use the nick "GabrielK" during chatting. For some reason everyone thought that Gabriel was the same as Gabrielle and all these guys would start private messaging me to ask what I look like, where I live, etc. After getting an excessive amount of private messages during one session I changed my nick to "GabrielK_is_a_guy" (or something like that). Seemed to do a trick. Anyway to bring it back on topic, maybe you could include a thin banner at the top of your image with the words "I am not RNKarenER" in big bold letters. Or maybe just put those words in your image description. As a last resort it may help with the confusion. :)
