The bike looks great. you can smooth all you want but it won't get rid of the edges being jagged. the smooth function only gets rid of the appearance of polygons ON the surface but the straight edges that appear against the background on the edges of your tire are unaffected. a little hard to put into words, hope it makes sense

Did you make sure to crop the shield picture as close to the edge of the actual shield part as possible?

Ah yes, I just noticed the linking. So you're the one to thank for that, nice work! I'm having visions of Adams acting out fight scenes from the matrix...

that looks like a useful effect. I'm pretty sure there is a way to do this using an alpha channel, in the same way that people get an altitude blend between materials on a terrain. I'll check but somebody else will know how to do it

Sorry Doublecrash. People can be so unreasonable, immature, etc. You should, of course, be able to express your views without being condemned to eternal damnation by the Allmighty "StoneyZ". Just keep saying what you need to say

Interesting madmax. There are alo a lot of textures and other things if you register (free) with them.

ahhhh.... rosity is back up. I should have been clearer. The model is presently in a NURBS format. I was offering to convert it to a mesh format readable by Bryce.

Globalator: New users to Bryce often getstuck with the idea that Bryce renders "look" a certain way because they haven't experimented much past the default settings. as others have said above, look through the galleries: you will see some amazing images. Some things to help: never rely only on the sun, experiment with placing positive and negative radial lights in key places throughout your scene, in general lower ambience, make sure to adjust haze for the scale of your scene.

It is a beautiful concept I think. It reminds me of an article I read about a satellite that was to be put into earth's orbit in a position so that it would fall back to earth in 2000 years or something. It would be like a massive time capsule. very interesting. The only things I would are make the thruster more subtle. And I have a problem with the lable on the pod. looks kind of like a candy bar wrapper the way it is put on. Maybe make it slightly smaller and without the rectangular border; more like a decal.

possibly, the thing is they are rotating tori. Maybe I could map something onto some spheres. hmmm... that gives me something to think about, thanks for the suggestion
