Ok... after veiwing all the magnificent work by all the entries, I have to cast my vote for deadhead "Last Bird on Earth" Very grimy, gritty, muddy, and yet tells a story too. Very well done! Was a hard choice thou... all of them were very good! But I had to go with that one just for the composition and the sense of realism.

I've got an idea... instead of sending out a newsletter all the time, just send out a link to an online newletter... that way you can create one source and then just send a link to the current newsletter and make it any way you want with all the graphics you nee to illustrate a point and everyone is happy. Then you can keep all the newsletters archived online for perosing at our leasure! Whatcha think?

You can turn off the redraw by right clicking on the the redraw screen area. It comes up with a little menu for redraw options... that should speed things up a bit.

If I remember correctly there is a service online that will track whether or not a web page has changed... the link to it was http://www.netmind.com I remember because back when I first started doing web pages, I gave viewers the option of being notifed by mail when the page changed. I just tried going to that address and it appears to be down however the service still comes up in web searches. Very odd!Thread: TrueSpace objects in Vue | Forum: Vue

Thanks... Mike's well structured and fully graphical tutorial there helped me out alot... who knows... once I start getting good at this, I may end up doing the same thing! Oh... BTW... if anyone would like to see any of my previous work, try the link. I've got a ton of other stuff I've done in Truespace... gonna have to port it all over to Vue now! :)Thread: Please welcome gebe as the newest co-mod of the Vue forum. | Forum: Vue

I had the same problem and I sloved it by creating a landscape with alot of spikes and then giving it a solid white texture and setting it just below the surface of the water where it meets the land until just the peaks where above the surface of the water. It gave it a nice frothing effect. You can see what I did in the provided link. Hope this helps.Thread: Vue and Truespace Objects | Forum: Vue

I downloaded them both and will attempt to give them a try... here's what I ended up with... let me know how it looks: http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=163081&Start=1&Artist=LrdSatyr8&ByArtist=Yes I hope it don't look too bad... will mess around with one of these converters and see if they will accurately transpose the object textures.
