Well, if the waist band was set up as a constrained group in the cloth room, it wouldn't move when you calculated the dynamics, so gravity wouldn't effect it. PhilC did something similar on his Haltertop tutorial PhilC's Tutorial Site.
And by using the constrained group on the waist, you could have everything else effected by gravity, which would give you a really cool look. Especially if you had him flying through the air. I'd recommend setting up a couple of key frames with motion (at least moving along the XTran) or use the Wind Generator.
Oh, and also, if you set the waist (in case you didn't want to do the constrained group) to collide with the Abdoman and Hips it wouldn't go anywhere either. You'd just have to make sure it didn't colide with M2.
Hopefully this makes some sense... I don't think I've had enough coffee this morning:)

Ok... I feel like a complete gimp here. MediaPlayer complained about the Codec...well, fine, I'll just load it up in QuickTime I thought and I got another error. Hmmm... What codec did you use for this? I'm really interested in seeing it:) ~ brent, er, um... the other brent :) ~

Heh, Sharen, I think my first attempt had to be a non-textured Dork using the Lincoln memorial pose sitting on a chair with the red light set. Thank the powers that be, that image no long graces my hard drive:) Oh, and then right after that was an animation using the walk designer... that when I learned "Dork" was his name. Ah... the good ol' days:) ~ brent ~

mmmmmmmmmmm... must post something for the banner contest... I think ladynimue's subtle hints are working:) And, I'd like to personally thank ladynimue for starting this thread. I think it has given a lot of people the opportunity to introduce themselves to the rest of the community. Well, at least that's what it did for me:) And thanks for your comments on my gallery:) ~ brent ~

First P5 render? I remember my first P4 render way back when, and it looked nowhere near as good as this:) Good job.
I do agree with ernyoka1 that her eyes are in too much shadow. One of the little tricks I do is place a low intensity spot light and use the "point at" command so it's directed at the head. That way you can hightlight her face just a little bit more.
Good work, and I hope to see more!

Hey Cainbrogan, Here's a link to PhilC's site, he has a tutorial on making P4 clothing work in the cloth room. I haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but I think it should help you with the loin cloth. Hey, and thanks for your suggestion on the tutorial a couple of threads down. It would be cool to have some samples of what you can do in the cloth room;) ~ amon_g ~Thread: Cloth Room | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

That's Hmann's Dynamic Clothing Pack. It's an awesome pack. I'm looking at getting the new one too;) It works well on V3 with a little tweaking (her hips are a little wider).Thread: Cloth Room | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

TCSP & Crescent thanks for the suggestions. Rotoscoping is something that I have done in the past through After Effects, but that was following a tutorial and remove wires from a "flying" lady:) But I would love to start doing some CG Live Action scences. This is definitly something I want to look into, but I think at another time:) I was thinking about doing the cloth (although there are good tutorials out there) and hair room. I've got a pretty good understanding of the cloth room, but I still have some challenges with the Hair room, so this would be a great experience. Materials Room is on the list too. I think I'll do the cloth room first, to give me a little more time to study the Hair and Materials room. Thanks for the suggestions! :) ~ Brent
