Can you render with a camera other than the main camera, such as the posing camera? If you can, you need to check settings, such as clipping distance on the Main camera as Winterclaw suggested. Do you have "visible in camera" unticked in the figure properties tab perhaps?

I had a bout with vertigo once, and it was scary and difficult (and dangerous) to do anything requiring focus and balance. I can't imagine what it is like to deal with it long term. Luckily my vertigo was BPPV ( benign paroxysmal positional vertigo) and was cured with the Epley procedure. As others have said, keeping well hydrated and getting appropriate nutrition through good food choices can do a lot towards improving some symptoms. Dealing with long-term chronic health issues can make it difficult to do the things that might help, so it can be a catch-22. It can also be difficult to get a proper diagnosis for an uncommon condition, so you often have to be your own advocate and do your own research into your symptoms, and then find a specialist.

If the MATpose files are for a figure, I'm pretty sure "actor $CURRENT" should be "figure" instead. I think "actor $CURRENT" is for props.

Poser creates a matte when you save to avi, uncompressed. It is safer to use png or Tiff image sequences just so you don't lose everything when you have a crash. Most image editors will combine image sequences and use mattes.
