Hello KarenJ and pjz99,
Thanks for your replies. I have all of the V4 files in an external runtime so both Poser 7 and Poser 8 are accessing the same files. I have in fact run the installers (several times actually to make sure that I didn't miss anything) but to no effect. It is odd that the S4 head morphs install and work for both Poser versions, but the body morphs only install and work work in Poser 8. Strangely, if I save an S4 based figure in Poser 8 and then open it in Poser 7 all of the morphs work. But they will not work on an S4 base figure opened directly in Poser 7.
Thread: A Qustion About The Poser 8 Parameter Dials | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hello basicwiz,
Thanks for the explanation. I had thought that it was some kind of display error, but if it is for information purposes then I won't worry about it.

I have installed S4 and everything works fine in Poser 8 but in Poser 7, only the head morphs work and none of the body morphs. Any suggestions?
Thanks for any replies.

Thread: A Question About Exporting Objects | Forum: Vue
I have just conducted a test using Vue 6.6 Infinite and Vue 8.5 Infinite. I created a scene in Poser and imported the scene into both versions of Vue. Vue 6.6 Infinite will export the poser Figures without any problems but once the Poser figures have been brought into Vue 8.5 Infinite, they become locked and cannot be exported. Perhaps I have stumbled across a bug. Can someone else try this and see if they have any issues?

Hello Shawn,
No, the materials that are on it are the same ones that it had when I first imported it from Poser.
Thread: Goodbye everyone! | Forum: Vue
I am very sorry to see you go. Looking at the images in your gallery was one of the things that inspired me to try using Vue. While I am not in the same league as you, I always waited with great anticipation for your next image so that I could appreciate and learn from what you did . In addition I always learned a great deal from your many kind responses to many, many forum posts.
I will make a point to visit your DeviantArt Gallery in the future, but it is really a great loss to this forum to have you go. I have seen many other people leave over the last few years and it is almost always like a physical loss to have them go. I hope that this message can, at the very least, help you to realize that you have inspired and helped a great many more people than you could possibly know.
Thread: Materials in Vue, 42 tutorials, over 11 hours, free video tutorials | Forum: Vue
Your tutorials are very useful and helpful. I have purchased several DVDs and watched dozens of other tutorials on your site. I find your project oriented approach very useful and inspiring, especially when learning new tasks or techniques, but I also like your approach in the latest sets (Lighting, terrains and materials) where you go throught the editors and explain things in great depth. One other thing that I appreciate is how you keep up with new versions and features, although I don't know how you can produce so many videos in such a short period of time ;-)
Thread: A question about water and foam in Vue 8.5 Infinite | Forum: Vue
Thank you Bruno and bigbraader for your replies.
I have tried adjusting the foam based on depth but I can't get the result I am looking for. I think that Artpearl's tutorial that bigbraader linked to is probably my best solution.

edited for spelling.
Thread: Poser Clothing Question | Forum: Vue
Yes it is very strange. I also use NVidia cards (dual GeForce GTX280) with the latest drivers but ever since the Vue 7.5 install tool tips won't work for Vue. They will work for other programs. I did report it for Vue 7.5, but now that you mention it, I will report this again for Vue 8.5.
Thanks.
Thread: Poser Clothing Question | Forum: Vue
Hi Mazak,
I have enabled the tool tips but for some reason they won't work for me in Vista Ultimate64. I used to have them with Vue 6 Infinite but when I installed Vue 7.5 Infinite, they stopped working and even re-installs don't bring them back. I had hoped that Vue 8.5 would fix the problem but that does not appear to be the case. And now that there are no more quick reference cards, it is harder to find some of the options that I don't use very frequently :-(
Thread: Poser Clothing Question | Forum: Vue
Thank you Mazak that did the trick. I knew it had to be something obvious that I had missed. For some reason I don't get the helper descriptions when I put my cursor over a button so I had missed that one.
Thread: Vue 8 Sample Scene | Forum: Vue
Hello bruno021,
Thank you for your reply. They were hidden from the render in the original scene and I thought that they had some kind of function being set up that way but once I made them visible, I can see the bubbles you are talking about.

Paganartist,
The download for Vue 8.5 shows up on the My Account page under downloads. At least it does for me.
Hope this helps.

Hello,
The last tutorial on this page called "Fall Road" talks about creating a road in Vue. There are also other tutorials about making paths at the Geek At Play site as well but I don't have the links.

Hope this helps.
