actually, now that YOU'VE brought it up, I myself will add I spend a lot of time renaming things (mostly deleting the '!!!!!'s). It's a real pain, that's for sure. I've often wondered where the thought or notion came that forcing it to the top of the folder list is somehow "better"... generally, when I install something, I know where to go look for it. I rename all my directories as my own orefs, but I will say I never bothered to do that at all until the "!!!!!" pheonominon started. it's an annoyance for me too.

I render to stills, then combine everything in paintshop pro's animation shop. What I like about that is it retains it's quality (seems to) and I can retime it a little in the paintshop's proggy a tad.

sure! after you set your aspect ratio, tick the Constrain box. THEN go to edit (at top toolbar), general preferences, tick launch to preferred state, then click the set to preferred state button in that window. Now when you open your POSER the winder will be set at the size you last selected. HOWEVER. I have noticed that even when ticking the constrain aspect ratio thingy, when you resize the document window it has a 1-3 variance of being exact accurate. Nothing that has ever been enough to notice in the render, but ..... I hope I didnt misunderstand your Q.........

SamTherapy is correct on AMD but I use them exclusively. If you can afford 2 gigs of RAM. then consider this when choosing. There are several "speeds" of RAM avail. Make sure you dont get sucked into gettin the cheap on sale "single sided" DDR for your P4 board. Pay a little extra and get quality, double sided RAM with the minum MHz of your motherboard or higher. Here's why: If your P4 Mobo is a 400 Mhz (or 5 hundred and up for Pentium), then usually the buss speed of your Ram is what everything else will run. If ya get PC2700 RAM (333MHz). this will limit your system to run at 333 instead of it's intended 400, or 500 up.. (I have no idea what your new system will be or is)... Example: If your P4 Motherboard is an RDRam board, (pentium) then I dunno. just pay attention the the RAM "speed" as well as the "size"...

no it goes much higher (frames) but the counter only goes up to 999.....Realisticaly, I'd hate to try to render 999 frames anyways... I like to keep anims at about 30-50 frames....it seems manageable that way, and easy (faster) to render. then join them AVI... the existing BVH files that are out there 'tend to get huge...I've actually never tried to render a whole one... the multiple PZ3 does me no good as I dont really want to wait 3 days for rendering... (lol)
