Thread: Everything lost.. reinstalling Poser.. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Don't quote me...whatever you do DONT quote me
I don't think you can create new folders, and have poser read them. For example, there are some folders in my library that do not show up in poser (ex. I have a morphs folder, and a Micro folder). I just created a test folder and it did not show up in Poser
HOWEVER (and I have poser open), there is an option in Poser to "Add a new category", you might want to try that and play around with some simple stuff before committing time to it. I think you have to have Poser recognize that it is a legitimate folder first. But again, I'm relatively new at this too, so I couldn't say for sure
Good luck

That's correct, for example:
You just bought some textures for Paradies Hair
Runtime - Libraries - Pose - "Texture Set II for Paradise Hair"
You could rename it:
Runtime - Libraries - Pose - "MAT - Additional Textures for Paradise Hair" or something similar (as long as there isn't another file with the same name.
The higher level directories, I would not touch as thefixer states. Otherwise you WILL be in a world of hurt. Sorry if I didn't make myself clearer

Well, I think I will be backing up my Poser libraries then
Along with all the stuff I have created
I know about hard drive crashes, and is a pain re-installing everything, and trying to REMEMBER what you had.
That could be a GREAT poser utility (hint..hint...merchants) especially for those that are not computer savvy.
And to add to "TheFixers" statement, I rename a lot of folders in my Poser Library, because I tend to find them easier (for example MAT-Morph Fant Dress). I know exactly what that is instead of (ex Caribbean colors..).
The biggest thing you should not do is change any of the corresponding geometery or texture files...I learned the hard way on that, and I still have some minor problems...lol

I'm looking forward to getting this
Will you be offer other tanks, such as the American Sherman, or some Allied tanks, maybe even a Russian T-34? What about earlier German tanks, such as a Panzer III
Also, will you be offering other armored cars, such as the German 8-rad armored radio car, what about some variants of your existing equipment?
Thanks!!

Thanks everyone for their advice and thoughts. I got a "real deal" tree, along with some flowers and grass from RDNA, and started trying them out, and they are exactly what I am looking for.

So Fixer,
I would need at least 1 GB to run Poser 6? The reason I ask is I thought about buying Poser 6, but if I don't have the resources, I'll save the $$.
I have Poser 5 and 512MB, and the rendering (Running on Poser 4 render engine) seems to handle okay, albeit I have only rendering people.
Thread: Out of Memory | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've had the same problem with rendering some scenes, depending on how detailed it was, and how I chose the final render to display, and I only have 512MB of RAM. Most of the time, the renders took a bit longer, but I would get a final render that was pretty good.
However, if you are running on XP Pro, you might want to check in Windows Task Manager, and see what OTHER processes you are running, and close down the things that are not system critical (such as Quicktime), as these use system resources too.
Good luck

Thread: Clothes Converter or Wardrobe Wizard? Which one. . . | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I asked the same thing in under a different topic, and got the same answer.
People thought Wardrobe Wizard was the better choice as it supported mroe characters. So, I think I'll have to breakdown and buy it here soon, as there are clothes that Aiko has, that I would like to use on V3.
Thread: Where can we get clothing for Hiro ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Depending if you are willing to pay for it, you could get a "clothes converter", and convert everyday clothes from M3, David, or whomever to fit Hiro

Thank you Miss Nancy,
I certainly want to be fair to both parties, and this sort of information is what I need as well

To answer your questions:
2. For the character and parentable props (letting the artist sell it to others), I was thinking of about $35-$40, but I don't know if this would be a fair price, because I have never done this before.
As for a deadline, this is something I don't need right away, and can certainly wait.
