Maybe I'm missing something, but I can't get anywhere at the Stack-Studios link, it just shows views of a church?
Thread: February Bryce challenge - "Space Battles!" | Forum: Bryce
(Tongue firmly in cheek) Well, no battle, but the FLIP (Federation Lawyers -for- Interstellar Peace) would also like to point out that any aggression is obviously coming from some villain entering the Plane of the Ecliptic from high above the sun. Therefore, based on shadow-ery evidence, the Earth is not to be blamed for the upcoming (if any) Battle. Also, Cpt. Rustbuckets, the reason for such high illumination from the rear of your craft is due to the goodship SS Kroc getting ready to... well,... super size you...

There are some hair props here in free stuff and also on 3dCommune.com. On 3dCommune are a couple of beards and a nifty little smart prop called "hair balls". I'll leave it to you to figure out where they go... :-)

Easy! Unfortunately, I can't remember off the top of my head, but no problem. Go to "Bryce Chronicles" (found via tutorials page at Brycetech). there are a couple of tuts on how to do that...has to do with shift-alt etc. However, you can place the sun/moon with fairly good accuracy provided that you unclick "link sun to view" in the Sky&Fog dialog. If this is clicked (default) the sun/moon will stay in the same clock position (five, four, etc.) regardless of where you are viewing. (i.e. you are looking "north" and the sun is behind your right shoulder, 5 o'clock. If "link sun to view" is the default, as you rotate your view, so does the sun... so no matter where you turn, the sun is over your right shoulder. Unchecking this, makes the sun/moon stay in one place, so as you rotate, the sun/moon stays where it should... kinda like the real world. It took me a while to realize this simple fact...

Hopefully tomarrow, I'll have this month's challenge up for you to discect/scrutinize..etc. In the meantime, (and FTP allowing, the new site will be up in a couple of days) this is me: http://www.surfari.net/~nukeboy cheers!

Check out Bill Munns' tut on using Bryce to make eye textures (really kind of amazing). His site has been a little slow of late, but the info is worth the wait. Find the tut under "tutorials/using Bryce as a paint program... something like that. HTHThread: Animated Flame | Forum: Bryce
I don't know from goombah's :-), but here goes: Create your flame object (I've used the rock generator to build complex flame shapes) then apply a good volumetric texture like Clay's Fire. During your animation, lengthen/shorten and rotate the object in each frame. It should come out like the flame is not only flickering, but pulsing, too. HTH
Thread: I NEED HELP!!!! | Forum: Bryce
Actually, adding textures manually in Bryce (as opposed to allowing Poser to apply them) makes for much better texture quality... gets rid of that "plastic" feeling and gives you more "tweak" control.
