Thanx.....thats what I kind of figured when I saw the file size. I realized that a file that big may be sure to crash my poser (when I try it out at home) Rawn
Thread: Help with puting own face on model... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
...and to add to this, if you do not own the Mike model, you should search for the seam guides for whichever model you are using to put your face onto. I just recently went through this tutorial using the mike model, and it works great. Rawn

That sounds wonderful. I have just spent the last few months trying and retrying, and sweating and cursing, and think I finally have a handle on character creation...so such a tutorial would have been wonderful. I think one important thing for us newbies is process...which step in development to work on when. In one of my earlier attempts I put a sweater on my character, and stretched and scaled it to how I wanted it, only to realize that I forgot to hit the "conform to character" thing...man..what a mess when I finally did :) So I personally think the step by step thing would be helpful. Eh..if worse comes to worse, I guess i could paint those overhanging bits to look like he has a leather shirt or something beneath the armour. I think it would be a wise fasion sense, cuz the armour would do nasty things in tearing out chest hair :) But i would still like to find a way to do this "properly" Rawn

aye....but then when I put a reflection map on that, then the whole of the skin starts to shine....which is not an appealing look :) Rawn

Thread: personalised faces ---- is it possible on a budget? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I guess what morphs you have available depends on which model you are using. With the Michael model there are a large number of dials on the side where you can manipulate many of the facial elements. What I did was simply select the head, and then start playing with the dials till I got something which was reasonably close. My only real problem with the realism was with the hair, and trying to find something which was close to mine, and then learning how to make the transparency maps and textures for believable hair.....but thats another story :) Rawn

(As a relative newbie here) I just went through the same thing with Cake One's tutorial, and the results were incredible. It helps if you have a model like Michael where you can morph the face to at least a similar shape to your own (though I personally could not get the cheekbones to "my" look). My original results did not look too good till I took the time to modify the face this way. If you care to post an image of your results, maybe some more advice can be given. Rawn
