Thank you everyone :) PhilC's looks amazing! I would however like to try the one by Thip, however I was unable to download it. It seems the site is no longer functioning. If anyone can direct me to where I may also be able to get a copy these files by Thip, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanx Rawn
Thread: Need help.. which one is better? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Really not much of a difference. I personally love shadows, so I would say the first one. The only thing I would wonder is about the stark brightness of the reflection on his armour, which is not followed up by a similar shadow of the tree along the ground. Also his gaze appears he is off in a daydream, perhaps moving his eyes could create more of a "story" as to what is going on. Maybe also a mist in front of his mouth showing his breath in this coldness would add a touch of realizm as well.

Thread: Organizing files in poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thank you all I guess you are right in that it would be wise to not directly unzip into poser....sighh...I guess that explains why i have 2 runtime folders now (maybe one has an uppercase "R") I will have to check that out when i get home. That PBoost looks very interesting...I will definatly download that when I get home. Thank you all very much.
Thread: Postwork: yay or nay? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I am someone who comes into this community perhaps from the other side. I have used Photoshop for many years designing artwork. When I was "awakened" to the possibilities which poser holds, I found it as a wonderful medium for which to create the base from which my art would spring. As such I had never had the intent for the renders from poser to be any final work. Though I admire the artistry of those who can develop the scenes to such a degree in poser, so that the final renders are artworks themselves.....but for me personally, I enjoy the postwork and find that is where my creativity flows.

It is also very "clean", the right amount of dirt, and wear can add to the drama of the scene....and also maybe playing with a more dramatic lighting, with heavy shadows could enhance the mood as well. Rawn

Welcome I have been working as a graphic artist on (and off) the computer for about a decade now....and have only in the last few months started with Poser and bryce. I agree this forum is a great place to learn. I have learned more here than from any manual ;) ..and making and using masks is a very very important function to effectivly use photoshop. I would highly encourage to take the time to study and practice with them. Rawn

Coming from a classical animation background, I will have to tell you that animating the bits flying off in a convincable manour simply using photoshop will be difficult. You may want to print out the individual frames you are using and place blank sheets of paper over them and draw in the animated bits first to see if the motion moves as you like...then scan these drawing into your computer and paste them into your photoshop file, and colour them there as you see fit.
