You will be happy to know that I had the same problem and solved it by leaving pixel 1 blank. The way to do this is to take any existing png file and copy the contents of yours over the top minus the top left hand corner pixel (Pixel 0,0). I don't know why but there seems to be a pallette problem that Poser can't handle.

Dynamic hair should be parented to a scull cap, not the figure itself. See my tutorial on how to create a scull cap.Thread: Corrupt 3DS on export ??? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Victoria 3 contains over 147,000 Faces and is a very detailed mesh. It can be exported but not as a 3DS file because, as R Hatch explained, 3DS files are limited to 65535 Faces. If you are using 3D Studio Max you can download Habware's OBJ2MAX and MAX2OBJ plugins which will allow 3DS max to import and export OBJ files.
Thread: Character Files | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The way I did it was to open the Character file in Wordpad and search for "OBJ" for the geometry file path and filename and "JPG" (or "PICT", "BMP", etc) to find the texture filenames and paths. Also, another good idea is to search your character file for ":" and if you find any sort out the path in the proper format. i.e. If you find F:PoserRuntimeLibraryCharacterMy character.cr2 then change it to :Runtime:Library:Character:MyCharacter.cr2 this will keep it compatible with all versions of poser and between PC and MAC. The other guys have already talked about creating dummy runtime folders so I won't go into that. Cheers NeilP

Don't mind me guys. Just trek it up. Thanks for the link. Your reward will come in a heaven created in Poser and rendered in Bryce. Sorry to interupt... I'll leave you alone now. (Bowing curteously as he leaves the room) Cheers NeilP

Thread: "Dumbing Down" Dynamic Hair in P5 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The rendering time for Dynamic hair is definately down to 1: Number of verts 2: Dynamic *.dyn files Here's a trick : Open the HR2 file in Wordpad and delete all lines refering to *.dyn. I do this to all my P5 hair before putting it up for sale.

Thread: What is it you want exactly from the Poser Forum here at Renderosity? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have always thought that the members who donate their work to the free stuff area should get more recognition. Maybe a "Free stuff contributor of the month" for the person who uploads the most popular free stuff item. Could be measured by the number of downloads or by a voting system. Just a thought.

If you bought the textures from here at renderosity there will be a readme file detailing the location of these new MAT files.

Search this forum for Dr Geep and you will find many good tutorials.
Poser is very addictive! Prepare to become an addict. Prepare for the inevitable day when you find yourself in a gutter somewhere begging for change and saying "I used to be rich but now Renderosity and DAZ have it all!"

Thread: Lighting figure inside a room???? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Click on the properties of the lights that you are using and change their type to "Spot".
Using the x, y and z dials, position the lights within the room.

Thread: Please help!!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I got this from the Curiouslabs POser 4 FAQ page. Hope it helps. ----------------------------------------------------------- My computer freezes before it finishes rendering my animation. What do I do? This could be a video card driver issue. Make sure you have the latest drivers for your specific video card. You may also try reducing Hardware acceleration. Right-click the desktop > choose properties. The Display Properties control panel will open. Click Settings > Advanced > choose either Performance or the Troubleshoot tab. Adjust the Hardware acceleration slider to lower settings and test your Programs.
