Dear Richardson, Thanks for your message. Yes it was a surprize for me to see that with FIre-Fly transmaps cast shadows. I didn;t know that untill this test I made. But hoever what this test showed me is, the best is to model things. I have all the respect for the texturers out there but the mother of 3D will always be the modeling and it always was. About saturation, you are 100% right. My best selling product is an original morph for V3 which no one has ever made before. So yes, in that are I had my own little monopoly. ABout doing the same things over and over again. I usually pack my Clothing sets with a character or 2 characters for V3. THe characters textures might not be very unique but the way how I see it is, you need a character to promote your clothing, so why noit give it out with the product? I don't see anything wrong with that. Back to saturation, in this marketplace any product can be sold. There is no standard set for minumum quality. So yes the MP is flooded with V3 skins. IT IS CRAZY. I don;t think that no one would be interested in another character set within a couple of months. So for me characters are nothing but what I give out with my clothing sets. I have just made a test shot of poser 4 and 5 reacting to Transmaps. I found out interesting info. Poser 5 Fire-Fly can cast shadows from transmapped objects, however poser 4 can't. At this picture I included the shots of Real Hole and TransMap hole Probs casting shadows in Fire Fly and Poser 4 renderers. I hope this infop is useful. For me the most important thing is having products 100% compatible. I think geometry holes are the best method since poser 4 can't cast the shadows with the transmap info. + Rendering animations with FIRE-FLY is atleast 10 times longer time than Poser 4 renderer. I truly think Real Holes are better (Awwww that sound really weird!!! lol) Best regards, Umut. PS: Thanks for the informations Giana, at the time I had tried my Grass Skirt I must have been using the Poser 4 renderer, but still I am glad that I modeld the grass because now it is 100% compatible with all applications. This is also the same for my Radiance Spheres.

Dear Giana, Using transmaps doesn't mean anything for lights. Trnasmaps only make a visual transparent look. Light will see it as one whole object without the holes. THat's why I took the time for making those pattern. I figured this out whole I was making a Hawaiin Grass Skirt. I made it with transmap and when I rendered it. the skirts shadow was casting like a normal skirt where It should have been casting like a grass skirt. That's when I noticed the Transmaps don't mean anything for lights. Ohh what happened after? I had to model a 60.000+ polygon grass skirt. I hope the infromation has been helpfull. And yeas, all of the spheres are models, not transmaps. Best regards, Umut.

Well there is no picky thing about the way you do shopping. It is the normal way of how to do shopping. I don;t think any merchant makes a product for making something bad. We as merchants really work hard for the products we make. Some of us are not good at making promo images and that is a totally different art.
