I think your basic problem is that, like me, your using "a Microsoft product" which is buggy, slow, and above all memory inneficient crap. Did I mention the word "innovate" yet? :) Run Rambooster, it works for me, but he's right about RSR files, took me while to work that one out. If you're still having problems, reboot every 2-3 hours, (hard reboot) that'll cure most ill's. Of course, you could always buy a Mac... :) later jb

A reboot fixed it, but it happened again later, it happens randomly. It can be perfectly happy, then it stops working. I always seem to be coming out of "Render Materials" when it happens. But wise am I in the ways of the force, I save first, then render :) later jb

adfilter will filter just about anything, banner ads of any size and dimension, applets, popups, all manner of embeded content, (shockwave, flash, etc.) you simply tell it what you don't want to see and it reworks the page on the fly, you point your browser to a local port on your own machine, and adfilter fetches the pages and munges them for you. It completely removes banners, no broken links, no empty boxes, just the content you allow and nothing more. Of course you have to pay after the first 500, but for what it does it's cheap enough (I think it's about $30) As for charging a fee to see the site, well, the problem there is that they have competition, who don't charge, so maybe they get a little cash, but they lose a lot of content & visitors. People will pay for content, but this place doesn't have any "original" content, only that which its users provide, less users, less content, less content, less viewers, and so on in a downward spiral. The only way pay per view works is if they have something you a) want to see, and b) can't get elsewhere. if either of those is false, then your premise for PPV fails, and you fail with it. later jb

If you're having popup trouble either turn off java and javascript, or install a popup killer. You can find loads at download.com. One of the best is called adfilter, (free for the first 500 blocked) or there are other less comprehensive tools, which are freeware, just type in banner or popup into the search engine on the front page. later jb

I can understand the response to a certain extent by the third email, if you keep asking the same question most tech support types will react that way. I remember once asking a student "which word don't you understand" after I had explained in detail about 5 times how to compile a pascal program on a UNIX command line. It was one of the reason I got a mock certificate in "gunboat diplomacy" from my colleagues :) Which is not to say that belittling people is the right way to go about things, and as far as this forum is concerened I should imagine it will backfire on Curious Labs in future, but dealing with the clients, customers, and the general public can be very trying at times. Sometimes it can be very hard not to be sarcastic, and if you don't want them to keep asking the easiest thing to do is simply be curt with them. Sad but true. later jb

Easily... I simply did a cut and past on my entire directory structure from drive c: to D: I created an alias, so the start menu still worked, and it put up the torch as it searched for the app the first time, and it asked where a few things were after that, but it was easy, took a while to copy 1.2Gb like, but.... :) later jb
