Not sure what you mean. ProPac seems to work just fine in OS X 10.2 (Jaguar). Are you running the latest version of the Mac OS? :-)

I don't have Appleworks so I don't know if this will work or not but you could also try changing the file's extension from .pz2 to .txt or .doc and then see if Appleworks will recognize it. I'd duplicate the file and work on a copy for safety.

Do you have TextEdit? You do if you've got OS X. TextEdit will open .pz2 files. If you're still on OS 9 then go to www.versiontracker.com and do a search for word/text processors. Find a free one and try it out. There's one there for OS 9 called "Haxial TextEdit" and it's freeware. I'd try that one. Good luck! :-)

Thread: Asian Eye Morphs in P5? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Unfortunately, from what I read in these message threads it seems as if the eye morphs for Judy and Don are even more limited in P5 than they were in P4. A step backward. :-(

Thread: New P5 Characters Are Very Ugly | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I agree that the images I've seen so far of Judy and Don seem sort of alien ... I think it's the eyes mainly. I really prefer Mike and Vick over Judy and Don but I'm hoping that better textures will be created to make the new models seem more realistically human. I'm sure someone's already working on this. Cromwell1 ... in which areas do you think they're out of proportion? Could morphs fix this? I don't have P5 (on a Mac) so I'm just curious. :-)

Thread: Thank goodness there's no Mac version | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have to agree that the renders I've seen so far of Judy and Don don't really thrill me. I think Mike and Vic still look more "human." Hopefully all that's missing are some decent textures that are yet to come and then Judy and Don will start looking less like aliens and more like people. I will, most likely, purchase the Poser 5 upgrade for my Mac when it's available. I do like the idea of the face room. Seems much more flexible in creating new characters than currently available in Poser 4. I'm also hoping that the current reports of bugs in Poser 5 will have been resolved by the time the Mac version is released. :-)

Thread: Asian Eye Morphs in P5? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Tinman1 ... I think jpegs work as message attachments. Crescent ... I agree with you. Asian eyes are beautiful and I wish I had them myself! :-) Musicat ... I empathize with you. So many stupid rascist biggots in this world! I've never understood why. Thanks for the links. I'll try them out in a minute. Wladamire ... thanks for your second attempt. It's definitely closer to what I think look like "convincingly real" asian eyes. I think the eyes still need some subtle shaping though which might not be possible because the mesh apparently might not allow for it. Wish someone could confirm this either way. So far nobody who has P5 has submitted any images but I suspecct that the asian eye morphs really aren't any better in P5. I'm on a Mac so I won't really know until they release P5 for my platform. Thanks again everyone!

Maybe that's it! Maybe there's not enough mesh to reshape the eyes properly! Can anyone from Curious Labs confirm or deny that??? :-)

Thread: How many people use Mac OS X with Poser 4? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well, I'm back! After trying Poser in the Classic Environment of OS X 10.2 (Jaguar) I have to shout out a great big "thank you" to those in this message thread who gave me the incentive to try Poser in the Classic Environment again. It works great and finally I don't have to reboot back to OS 9 to use Poser. There is a cosmetic interface problem with the Mac OS menu bar turning solid white but ... who the hell cares? The program still works fine without having to spend multiple minutes rebooting into OS 9 just to run Poser! THANKS!!! :-)

Thanks! That's getting closer to what I think are convincingly "real-looking" asian eyes. Of course there's lots of variance between asian people (thai, philipino, japanese, chinese, korean, etc.) but what I'm really looking for is a much slimmer (vertically) eye shape that has a much more distinct curve at the outward ends of the eyelids. So far I haven't found any Poser examples that really look "convincingly" like the asian eyes i see every day on the street in "real" asian people here in Los Angeles. I haven't it seen it as of yet in Poser. The eyes should NOT look so "round" like American eyes do. "Real" asian eyes are much slimmer ... horizontally. Do you know what I mean? Have you ever seen a statue of Buddah? THAT'S how "real" asian eyes should look! I've never seen that in a Poser render!!! Thanks again! :-)

By the way since version 10.1, I have always had OS 9 and OS X installed on the same partition and have never had a problem. In fact, I also have OS 9 and OS X installed again on an external drive as a back-up plan in case one drive fails. No problem doing that either. :-)

By all means, do get Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar). It's fantastic! You will still be able to boot solely into OS 9 (not the same as the Classic Environment) so if you do have problems running in the Classic Environment you can always reboot in just OS 9 to run Poser. I do this all the time because I haven't found Poser to be very stable in the Classic Environment in past versions of OS X ... HOWEVER, I haven't really tried running Poser in the Classic Environment since upgrading to 10.2. I will now though ... based on the comments in this message thread. Hope it works now! About to find out. :-)
