Thread: My furst rendah ;) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
hey there!! :) thanx for replyin. okay. the object in question WAS supposed to be a flame when I started out. buuuuuuut... I found it nigh on impossible to get a decent flame so I settled for the floating sash/ cloth thing instead... Iw'm quite chuffed with the effect, but as you say it needs work.. I'm trying to steer clear of post work to begin with, to keep things simple. I'm not very experienced with art packages so it may end up just destroying the intended effect... I used a couple of textures on the sash and managed to stumble upon a nice ripple effect (not present here) but it almost entirely obscured the ball inside it... so I'm not sure. The lighting was standard poser lighting.. again. keepin it simple.. I do intend fully to start from scratch if/when I find myself a surrounds for the young lady thus allowing for suns/ light sources within those surrounds.. I'll make sure to take your advice and light the face/orb.. do you think perhaps a spotlite on that section would help?

Hauksdottir >> hey there :).. I do actually keep all my zips in category for future reference.. although I'm gonna have to go through them all again sometime soon.. when I created the directories to store my DL's I thought that all I would need would be models, textures, props and odds n sods (actual folder nameL)... very wrong. however your idea is excellant.. especially if I have a folder inside each folder for each of my fave contributors :)
Thread: Point of note (question) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I still have all the zip files. I could stop being lazy, get off me r's and wite me a txt file list of freebies.. that'd keep me entertained for like.. lifeL.. I'm not liable to sell any models to anyone.. nobody's stoopid enough to buy anything from meL.. anyweay.. I believe in credit where credit's due. and whilst poser allows me to find an outlet for my artistic tendencies with relative ease I fully appreciate that it's you guys (and gals) that do the real hard work. I know. I tried a bit of mesh work. haha. that was fun. /;) keep up the good work, it's people like you that allow people like me to get things inside.. um.. out. oh. I think that made sense :) thanks :D Dolph.

L thanx for the advice. more likely though I'll just DL me some tutorialsL.. and I happen to be lucky enough to know somwone who's doing Photoshop as part of their course at university (in sweden!!L (I'm UK)) so I'm sure she'll have mighty handy pointers for me :) does anybody know how the textures actually wrap onto the models? I've DLd quite a few and some seem quite slap dash with colours if they're in solids... rather odd :) Dolphy..

Thread: Replacement heads for Millenium Figures! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
great idea!! along with 47page - how to get a head to stick on to you new headless millenium figure - tutorial!! L.. but seriously. anything that can cut the cost on both sides of the fence has to be a good thing. actually sticking heads on is probably the easy part getting them to stay there is another matterL. also if your idea were to be implemented production times would drop too (hopefully) meaning more variety - faster. it's all good from here. thumbs up and a pat on the back :D Dolphy..
