Thread: Where do TEMPLATE FILES go? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Okay, I think I'm getting it. If I open--say a body template map in Photoshop and color it, then save it I could use it as a texture map for a particular model? For instance: I could color the "Judy" texture map RED and apply it in the materials lab and have a RED Judy? And what of the wireframe lines, do they also appear? By the way is there a manual or something that teaches this? Once more, thanks

Thanks, but your response begs the question: how does one use these files to create textures. My Poser knowledge is about a "5" on a "10" scale and I don't mean to ask you to write a manual on the subject; if you can just point me in the right direction. Thanks again

Thanks for all the recomendations folks. As I mentioned I am a beginer, so terminollogy that some of you used I did not understand but from all the postings so far and checking out all your recommendations I am leaning to Rhino (and the price seems reasonable). Thanks again for all the input.

Thanks for the referals. Rhino looks very good but the price chokes me up. What is "NURBS"? and does exporting cause many probs? Thanks again, keep'em comin y'all

P.S. I am sorry, but I need to give additional credit for helping me to Anthony too! I am sorry I neglected to credit you as well. Thanks!
Thread: Poser error message (out of memory) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
To all of you who responded to my original plea, Thanks! I have discovered what the reason is for the error message, how to correct it and the clue came from scifiguy (thanks). The reason for the message (which is the wrong error message) is when one downloads an object for Poser all the files have to be put into the approriate folders for the model to work properly. This varies by the way the author created it. I usually never read the accompanying "read me" files, but I did in one case and the author left instructions where to put the correct files. As I said, some are different and loading many into Poser folders can be very tedious. Now I read all the "read me" files. The problem with the Poser "memory" error message is that it is erroneous. The code should have been be written to reflect the true nature of the error. I have a friend who always tells me to "read the book", but guys aren't supposed to read instuctions; well, let this be a lesson to me. Thanks to all again.
