Well, had better luck with search this time and found the thread(s). Not a clue as to why it gave me zero results earlier.
Thanks for the reply, elzoejam! I'm afraid I have no idea what ambient occlusion is nor how it's used. Btw, I'm using Poser 5. Can't afford 6 or 7. sniffle

Thanks, Frank. I'd already tried that, but for some reason got nothing at all. I'll give it another go and see if I have more luck. :)

Hey, this was great, drew! You did extremely well for your first. (as for me, stuff like this is well beyond my ken). The only thing I see is that when a woman is walking in heels, (or anyone for that matter, I suppose), the heel is the first thing to touch the ground when she swings her foot forward. Here, it looks like she's placing her foot flat.
Or maybe it's just my eyes. 8/
Ennyhoo...it's still fantastic and I love the way the clothes move, too.
Thread: OT: Hexagon 2 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
FWIW, I found the videos that came with Hex helpful. Granted, they do go quickly and I wound up stopping and rewinding it quite a bit, but after persevering and going over and over it, I did manage to learn some basics from it. After that, some of the others weren't that hard for me.
Also, I am a bit more patient than some, so as you said, they would be rubbish for those with less patience (and time!). :)
After that, I checked out some of the online tuts and they were extremely helpful. The Speed modeling ones were too fast, but very entertaining! :P

Thanks for replying! It's back up now...everything seems to be ok. Most of my freebies are there, so was just wondering what was going on.

2. I heard that DAZ models are not allowed in game programming. Is that true? (eg. V3, M3)Thanks in advance
:)
I believe that is true, yes (without running back to the site to check, but I think I'm right on this)

I've often wondered about this myself and these suggestions are quite informative.
Oh please do give us some screenshots on how you did this, Bopperthijs! I find that quite helpful in learning new things, as I'm sure others do as well.

I've got a basic tut on texturing here in the tutorials, if you think that might help learning that aspect. Just click my homepage and then Artist Input.
Edit: Well, clicking homepage here takes you to my forum stats, but there is the actual link on that page that will take you where you are trying to go. Whew!

Strange, that. They must be doing something or other. What that could be is anyone's guess.

Sounds like either they are messing around in the back rooms, or you've been hit by the login/logout syndrome.
