The manual is JUST FINE thank you. Im applying the fer to Poser 4, I havent even got Poser 5 yet and theres stuff in it i wish Id sorted two years ago. Theres things in it I wish Id tried two WEEKS ago. I hate manuals. Everyone has a manual story, I have several, my SLR came with 2 manuals, basic and advanced. The basic stuff was in the advanced manual ad so on, invariably one would pick up the wrong one. Neither told me how to operate the camera. I had to get out the sales brochure and the magazine article on it to find the aperture and shutter speed controls. end of rant No, not end of rant. I bought a video camera with a new feature where you link it to a VCR to edit (the bad old analog days) the cameras manual had a whole chapter on this new feature. REFER TO THE VCRs MANUAL. It was a year an a hernia before I had the corresponding VCR. Its manual said REFER TO THE MANUAL FOR THE CAMERA.

Thats right.

If Apple had bought Poser may we have had P5 at the same time ish as Final Cut Pro 3? What would we then be waiting for in Poser 6? Or, by Msoft, and with the slimmer chance it isnt buried have them put out a Mac-user placating version like Office X and the other one. The Apple version of P4 may have been Mac only but what can one do.

Most bugs seem to be in the system if not the current users hardware, lack of skill or, the most vocal, their literary skills.

If you run Poser 4 in 9 and use Quicktime 6 it will cause a freeze. At least on a G4 400 circa 2000 it will. Havent tried p4 in Classic (with QT6) and dont want to. I could be animating when Im doing that, if I wanted to spend hours fixing my system Id have... Im sure Im not the only one whose computer freezes after doing a QT6 render. There was a post about this once but I cant find it.

In the early decades of tv the Vacuum tube B&W sets used the voltage pulse sent out by the AC power. US grids have a cycle of 60Hz and PAL countries are 50Hz where the generators in the power stations turn 50 times a second. The voltage going up to 220v (UK), then down to zero volts on its way to 220V in the other direction provided the jolt of electric power these tvs needed to get the CRT to display one FIELD. Two fields each 312 lines (PAL) make one frame. Eyes cant see past 25ish frames in a second so motion picture cameras only go to 24ish a sec to save film. Just trying to find a thread I didnt finnish reading.

Someone put that Mac users often have to wait for longer periods of time for things than Windows users.

I am asking, what are all these great thingies for which we wait?

Theres Poser 5, OK, its a bit slow.
Then there was Mimic. Two whole years with no Mac version, and faithfully staying at 1.0. (?)
I dont hear any loud outcry for 3dsMax. Can anyone else? Perhaps those nearest the window?

Please could someone enlighten me as to what these people are talking about. Firewire? DVD-R? USB? Wireless networking?
Only 3D seems not to be taken serious by the graphic-arts industry or community.

If you dont all buy Poser 5 then Curious Labs will not make the money the first week. If Curious Labs dont make the money the first week they will put out the Mac version the second week, and we dont want that to happen do we? :-)
