Yep, Bryce creates default .bmp files. In Windows systems they're named after the scene's filename. So, if you have a scene called Interior.br5, the bmp would be called Interior.bmp --- Stefano

Try the URL above. They're objects presets I found very useful. StefanoThread: I know, it's a stupid question, but... | Forum: Bryce
Thanks everybody... now it's more clear: don't trust the numbers! :) I think I'll stick with AS math above... Thanx to all. Stefano

It's a beautiful terrain! And yes, the eagle stands out a little bit too much. The spiked terrain for trees is very difficult to manage, you can try the foliage presets. I also think that turning down a notch the mountains ambience would make them look even more dramatic than they already are (but maybe it's me, I have to admit that I don't like ambience at all, in my pics I tend to set it to zero and then playing with the general ambience value). As for the sky, you can try applying a 2D pic or, even better, trying the beautiful tutorial by roobol you can find in the off-site Bryce tutorials section. (The link is above).

I agree with the comment above, mostly, but I think the images lacks somehow the murky feeling you have when you're underwater. To accomplish this (and avoiding the render-monster Volumetric World, although I still consider it the best way to achieve the result), you can maybe try to assing a volume material to your caustic-gel ligths and see what it comes out. If you want an example with VW (it's only an example, nothin' more than that), maybe you can see my gallery entry "Comparing 3 Different Bryce Renders" (the link is above) which explains the pains :-) I underwent in doing my first underwater image.Hope it's useful,
Stefano

Whoa! I didn't know your website, I just looked at it and it's beautiful, useful and full of inspiring explanations and suggestions. The models are beautiful, so the mats. Thanx for sharing. Stefano

It's a beautiful book, and it's written really good. It has given me an insight on Bryce that the manual couldn't. You won't regret ordering it! Stefano

Thread: importing Poser .obj files problem ! | Forum: Bryce
I don't know how to answer you on this, because I don't understand if it's a problem in importing MAT files. I can only say that I had this problem and I solved it downloading "Grouper", a free utility by CastIronFlamingo which helps a lot importing Poser figures with the right textures. I think you can find the link here in the freestuff seciont. Stefano

Many thanx pidjy, I always tried to make believable covering drapes but I wasn't able to do it. I tried one in my "Warm Posing" image, but I wasn't so satisfied by the result. So your tut (and I'm surely one of those who asked you to post it!) is really useful to me. Thanx again! StefanoThread: Nightmare forcing hand.... | Forum: Bryce
Zhann, I'm sorry I can't help you, I also have some money problems, but, for what is worth, you have all my support and feeling. I also forwarded the message to some friend who could be interested, and I hope something will come up.
All my best,
Stefano
Thread: Huh, I don't grasp Premium rendering... | Forum: Bryce
Thanks for your insights and help. I continue to have this strange behavior concerning rendering times: I tried in each and every way, but I keep on getting faster times with Premium. I tried also with other images, so ok, I think I should consider me lucky and take it as a Bryce gift! :) As for your opinions about when to use the different AA modes, thanks a lot: it's a section not so well covered in the docs, and now I've a way clearer mind about it. --Stefano
