Used a spiky terrain for the "trees". It works well at a distance but I don't think it works at all for the foreground So I will use some xfrog trees there. I also experimented with making clouds (wich turns out more difficult than I imagined ;) Do you guys have any suggestions besides that to make this one better?

I think this is wonderful, maybe add a distant light that is falling on the hills...Sharen

Try one of the two "foliage" preset materials on your "tree" terrain. You might find it can make them less smooth and a little more realistic. Fantastic Mountians!

This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.

Kylara, put one or two real trees in the open where you can see them - at this scale a whole bunch of real trees might be a waste of time. The eagle seems to stand out of the picture - maybe put a (powder blue) spotlight on him or something and play around with that? clouds(?) All in all a great pict: I had just gotten through replying to some illiberal sob on the ot forum that wanted to send our kids to war and for some reason was really stirred up. I came to the Bryce forum to calm downand saw the heading "freedom" and checked this out. It immediately calmed me down, and I said yes this is what it's all about. Thank you, and also thank you for your timing it could not have been better. Where'd you get that great eagle By the Way? cheers, - TJ

It's a beautiful terrain! And yes, the eagle stands out a little bit too much. The spiked terrain for trees is very difficult to manage, you can try the foliage presets. I also think that turning down a notch the mountains ambience would make them look even more dramatic than they already are (but maybe it's me, I have to admit that I don't like ambience at all, in my pics I tend to set it to zero and then playing with the general ambience value).

As for the sky, you can try applying a 2D pic or, even better, trying the beautiful tutorial by roobol you can find in the off-site Bryce tutorials section. (The link is above).
