SMT, Yes, you're so right! I'm discovering practically by the minute how much I like VUE. Like I said before, I was missing that one little step. It seems, in conjunction with Imagine, Organica, Poser, et al that VUE will help me turn some of my drawings into 3D! Gonna have a lot of fun!

Guitta, smallspace, et al, it finally did come to me! Like in double clicking on that little texture thumbnail! That is the one step I was missing! Persistence is a wonderful thing, but instant enlightment can be just as good. Or so I've heard. THANKS FOR THE FEEDBACK! I would try to blame it on too much warm California sun, but that's certainly not the case lately! Thanks again! If you ever need any verbs conjugated or your dog fed, gimme a holler. Larry

Hey smallspace, Thanks for the heads up here. I have a question or two I don't yet know the answer to: SO I export out of Poser 4 as a 3DS object. Does it make any difference if in Poser 4 I have loaded AND applied the texture I am going to use on, say, the Poser 4 nude male? Or should I just pose my figure, sans texture, then export as 3DS and copy whatever texture over to the same folder as the 3DS? I think this latter must be correct, just guessing though. When I export the 3DS object to the folder I'll use, I then make sure I copy my texture, say MALETEX.JPG, has a DOS compatible name, to that same folder if I understand correctly. This would mean that I couldn't or shouldn't have another texture in that same folder -- right? AND, exactly WHERE AND HOW IN VUE 3 would I load and manipulate this map? If I needed to, that is? Like in Bryce 3 you can load the texture map and -- HA! -- VIEW it! From long experience, I know I can overlook the obvious with ease, so what menu item would I select in VUE 3 and what options would that menu item offer me when selected with regard to manipulating the texture map imported from Poser 4, if any? I'm sure this is kindergarten stuff, but hey..... Thanks VERY much again! Larry

I'm off to try this out but I'll have to re-install Poser 3. Also, does this set of procedures remain the same (more or less) for VUE3 and Poser 4? Thanks again. Larry

I generally don't like "me, too" posting, but I have used the "Mark All Read" feature for quite some time. It is a handy little tool. Larry F

KateTheShrew, I must tell you that that is VERY nice work! I have some experience with this kind of stuff. For one thing my wife and I are longtime hardcore ballroom, swing, and latin dancers. For another, up until very recently I was doing a ballroom dance strip called FOOTLIGHTS that still gets published in the ballroom, swing, and latin, and general small press, i.e., newsletters, etc. I still get letters from lots of places, i.e., all over the States, Canada, Israel, Argentina, etc., and I'm going to be starting it up again. Funny thing, the hardest part about this writing not the drawing, as there is abundant photo, film, and video reference available. As a matter of fact, the very reason I got Poser in the first place was to use as "posing" of photo reference and then looked at from different angles, and it has certainly been very very helpful in that regard. I'm almost finished with a book of ballroom dance clip art line drawings as, despite the plentitude of photo work available, there is very little "quality" drawing for people who might have use of such. You can see some samples of this strip at the below URL. Poser 2, 3, and 4 have all been extremely great aids in drawing this and other stuff. Not everything being done with it is "porno" though I did do exactly that kind of comix for years and years. http://www.ballroom-r-us.com/footlights/gallery.htm Despite years of using 2D and 3D apps, I'm still a pencil, pen, and ink type deep down, but find I'm doing increasingly less (? HAH, is that possible) of it. That's great work you have there and I would suggest grabbing any Fred and Ginger movies or tons of others on TV late at night.

STORM, Thanks very much. I figured it was something like that. I do have No. 38 and it does say on the CD cover TrueSpace4 but, of course, it must be a misprint. I'll look around for the other one, the correct one, that is. Actually the only reason I bought that issue was because I saw on the CD that it said TrueSpace4 Demo. I already have Paint Shop Pro 6 and Bryce 4. Thanks agaon and, hey, HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Larry F

wayneout, Don't think you're going crazy here. I couldn't find it, my neighbor couldn't find it. We don't think it is there. "ts3se" I/we mean. Of course, I'm willing to be wrong but it is reassuring to me that someone else had the same problem. I was starting to wonder, though.

bloodsong and pdblake, That is a great creation and a great use of a it. Ever since I first saw it, it has reminded me of the Half-Horses in The World oF Tiers series by the great Philip Jose Farmer. It that series, some enemies of the hero, Kickaha the Trickster, are centaurs (Half-Horses he calls them) who are just what you portray here, bloodsong, centaurs with an American Indian flair. As a matter of fat, the level (tier) they are on is called the Amerind level. GREAT reading with elements of Gulliver, Conan, Tarzan, John Carter, and your basic all around hero in fantastic situations. This is a a very hot work. If this kind of thing inspires you, (or maybe you have already read them), they World of Tiers series (and the equally impressive but longer Riverworld series) were originally published by ace books in paperback. Great work.

Errr .... isn't FLOGGING done with a WHIP? Or at least a cat-o-nine tails? This would probably more qualify as BEATING. Probably just as relieving though. For the beatER, I mean. Just my opinion of course.
