Seeing this and some of the other changes encourages me to post here again. I most like will, when I have some time. But I'll definitely start browsing the galleries again.

They supplied a legacy key with the perpetual copy of Vue 2023 & 2024. This allows your CD3 purchases to work without having to ask for another key. When I installed the new version and opened it up, I was advised to copy the legacy key for future use. Those keys won't be available much longer on the Bentley site.

Maybe someone could suggest it. But corporations frequently don't like to allow assets they have paid for to be let loose into the wild like that. Who knows? Maybe they are willing to do it!

So you're saying I can get Prime prices on all the available products right now?

I have never received a "Prime price" on anything I purchased here. I've had to pay non-Prime price every time.

You're kidding! I'm looking at a new computer and even if I have the activation code my Vue2016 won't work unless I pay another $200? How can they justify that?

It works just fine on my existing computer, and it worked great on my older, more powerful machine. The issue is that this computer is not powerful enough to handle Vue. The new one is definitely more than powerful enough, thus the reason I want to install it on there.

And yea, I don't think I'll be using Vue anymore, as much as I loved using it. I have older copies on CD-Rom that do not require that stupid activation code. But this extortion attempt really left a nasty taste in my mouth.

It would be nice to get a class-action lawsuit filed against them. I wonder how many people might be interested? I don't know how tricky it might be, considering they are located in Germany I think? I'm reasonably sure they are a fairly large company too.

So you're saying instead of installing a fresh version from my PP2012 installer, copy my existing version from my old computer to my new one? I could do that to an external hard  drive easily. I have all my serial numbers too. Cool. I'll uninstall the installation I have installed yesterday and give this a try. Thanks so much! Fingers crossed!!
