I tried this and it did not work. If nobody else has any ideas I will try to re-install, but argh...what a pain in the behind. Thanks for the suggestion, bushi. I wish it worked. I've never had this problem before.

He's by Kirisute. I only know because I recognized the user name from here. Never seen this one before, but am happy I checked this topic. :)

Been said before but I'll say it again! Don't let it bother you. I think there are some aspects of every CG program that are superior to others. Some do lighting pretty well, some make nice water, some have fantastic texture features, and some are good for people (etc). I think someone who comments on something negatively (generally) doesn't understand. To the best of my knowledge Poser is very unique and until motion capture technology is avaliable for less than several hundred thousand dollars I suspect this will be the case for the near future and beyond. I applaud people who can make things for themselves but to most casual artists the bottom line is time and money. Anyway, not sure why I commented, but I never let people bother me anymore. I used to be defensive about things (RPGs, mostly). I have a friend who I always agrued with about things and when I thought of how futile it was we became good friends. I got past his oppinion and vice-versa. Ciao.

Well, everyone's help has been very useful. I've been spending the last few days worth of free time going back and refreshing my old V3/M3 renders with this new knowledge. It's cut every archive since by around 60%. Sometimes more. Thanks to everyone!

I'm trying to figure out which is more practical for me. I just used the INJ poses to inject the morphs I've been known to play with and it took the figure from 120 to 35 megs. It's between using that figure or injecting everything when I need it. Hmm hmm hmm..maybe just a V3 with all expressions? Oh well. I am trying to figure out if I should go back through all my saved files and edit them, but that'd take a while. I'd prolly free a few gigs, though. Man, I feel like an idiot. Baka Chris, baka!

I'm not sure if I understand your question, but I might. Save a character the way you save anything normally. You can load the character and clothes or whatever and save it from the File menu and then go an open it whenever you need it. Saving it in the figure library would be confusing for me. I've never heard of anyone doing that before.

Sounds like I'm nuts. lmao. I guess I have some work to do. I guess I'll put the INJ/REM folders back in use except in the Camera folder. That's where I keep S3 and Freak stuffs anyway. One thing that occured to me is if I remove a certain morph and a character requires/uses it will the INJ pose add it to the figure? I am not sure and I remember Daz being all uppity about how V3 characters and morph were distributed a while back.

I have a separate figure saved in the Daz People library with all the morphs loaded. I read that somewhere in a Daz tutorial for V3 which is why. I took all the INJ/REM out of my poses folder because they took up so much space. Also, I never know what morphs I'll be using. :P V3 lighter than V2? Ack. lol.
Thread: Problem with loading V3 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've gotten this message before, but not with V3. Like procchi it's usually because of a corrupt .rsr file. I've found this happens to me with clothes when I have a scene open and have to force quit Poser for whatever reason. Usually, deleting the .rsr file in question fixes it. i.e. "Could not load the file "../Geometries/Daz/Clothes/Dress.obj". So, the thing to delete would be the file "Dress.rsr" in the same directory. Be careful though, because some things won't work without the .rsr files. Also, I don't understand the "give me more memory!" message in Poser for Windows, either. I have not used a Mac since OS8, but it was possible with Macs. I think Poser runs to that message when something happens it doesn't understand. :P I am using Poser 4 by the way.
Thread: Okay, what is ProPack? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I was curious about everything in general. From all this info it sounds like ProPack is far better. I guess this late in the game it wouldn't be practical to get it. Does P5 have a PP version? or is it not necessary? I suppose in the near future I'll have to upgrade to one or the other. Suggestions? Thanks for your help, everyone!

Oh, obviously that fourth sentence should be "have not as yet done". I wish you could edit messages!
