Yes Poser 2014 works again after the latest patch and so do other software which were affected (incredimail for one). I did not reinstall the KB3132327 but only the KB3133434 update. Poser Pro 11 was never affected by this update and thus the troubles that you, kruse, are having must come from somewhere else. Maybe you should install it unto a different drive or location and then launch it from within that directory. Run the Poser exe directly from the directory and not from a thumbnail once installed. Also make sure you install the latest version as there has been an update since release. I know it sounds all a bit lousy but maybe worth a try. I also vaguely remember having had issues with an update concerning the preferredstate.pz3 which prevented it from launching but I don't want to give you false information. Did you set a preferred state or are you always launching with Andy? When you uninstall Poser, it never goes completely off your system and those remnants could cause issues, especially if on launch it calls up old memory and can't find what it is looking for. When you re-install I suggest overwriting your preferences when applying SR1.

I'm sure; this isn't the right thread for my problem and I have to start deeper investigations on this issue. I have already tried all what you suggested with no success. I'm going to try this "Andy-thing" and hope for a better result. Fortunately I can use Poser 2014 until my problem is solved.

Today the resent released Hotfix was installed on my PC. Unfortunately with no success! The same situation is given:

Windows 10 with both Hotfix installed (KB3132372, KB3133431), Poser Pro 11, reinstalled and installed again, click on icon let the clock start, but after 5 seconds the opening of Poser stopped.

I'm not sure whether all the repairs, uninstall and install procedures confused my Windows now.

UPDATE: Poser 2014 Pro is running again, afer the reinstallation. Poser 11 PRO is all quiet and doesn't leave any "beep". Is there any logfile or something else with further information why Poser 11 doesn't start without any error-message? I have checked the firewall settings. Poser 11 isn't blocked.

We have found a happy end, becuase SKINVue Elite is running with VUE Xtreme 2014. With the help of Lee from e-onsoftware.com we could fix the problem.

To implemnent SKINVue due to their description you need a vue installation without the interface to external programs like Cinema or 3DMAX. The standalone VUE Xtreme 2014 doens't has difficulties with SKINVue. So we have two installation running

• VUE Xtreme 2014 without the interface to external programs and SKINVue
• VUE Xtreme 2014 (VC100) with the interface to external programs without SKINVue

The versions are installed in different folders

• programse-onsoftwareVue 2014 xStream-VC90  (for working with SKINVue)
• programse-onsoftwareVue 2014 xStream (vc100)  (for working with interface)

In these days we proudly got our version of VUE Xtreme 2014. Again we have the same issue. Analyzing all of our experience out of the past, obviously it depends on the version you have installed.

Going back to 2013:

First we tried VUE11 Xtreme (VC100). There was chance to run SkinVue anyway. Be sure we tried everything. After we had installed VUE11 Xtreme without the (VC100), SkinVue started without a problem.

Now we have the same issue with VUE Xtreme 2014.

VUE Xtreme 2014 (VC100) causes the error message like shown above.

Version VUE Xtreme 2014 (without (VC100)) let SkiinVue run without an error.

My personal thought is that SkinVue doesn't run, if the (VC100) Version is installed.

I'm going to contact e-onsoftware again and perhaps there is solution for this available.

Does anybody in here have VUE2014 (VC100) and SkinVue installed?

Just want to let you know we have solved the Problem. We think SkinVue is not running with

Vue11Pro_vc100

After we had installed

Vue11Pro

SkinVue opened is console and let us run this Software. We also installed Vue11Pro with the lowest user's permission. Don't know if this was the problem-solver.

After some back and forth with forums and support I come back to here and hope for the final advice.

I couldn't manage the run of SkinVue.

I have tried to

• install

• reinstall

• move folder form a to b

• changed the permissions of the folders

nothing helped! Same problem and same message. I have tried other pythons with success.

Please to all lucky users, can you tell me the exact installation of your skinvue?

folders installed somewhere else ? I think of .../Python/PythonLib/

Please can you check for WX folders? Do have such folders inside your vue-folder? If yes, where?

Meanwhile I have deleted all tries of moving wx-folders.  

Would be great if someone could give the final clue...

Thanks for the good advice. Think this is the point. I have checked the general settings and the smooth angle was valued '0'. Perhaps I have changed it by mistake some days before. I have put it back to '80' and the render of all products is fine now.

think - the problem is a little bit tricky. Needless to say - I have done all the settings mentioned above. As I said - some items work - some not in the same session. At least - no problem in Poser 7.

Meanwhile I have found more items where this phenomenon is present. Most of them were added to previous poser versions. 

I'm with bagginsbill and think the problem is based in the obj. Tomorrow I'm going to check two of these objects. Perhaps I'll find a clue.

I have tried to smooth the egdes in a separate mesh editor. Made a copy of the blMilWom_v3.obj and tried the new obj in Poser. Unfortunately with no success.

Thrilling - Works fine in Poser 7.

Oddly enough I have found a copy of Victoria 3 in my Poser 8 library some minutes ago. I have made this copy of V3 in the past to get back all my settings of V3 with one click.

Okay - Primary I can continue with this copy but I'm curious why poser 8 is transforming some items like this way.

think this hits the bulls eye and poser 8 display is also running in OpenGL mode. After I have installed the newest ATI-drivers, we can use both display settings without getting troubles.

Reminds us to update the graphic drivers more often ;-).
