It's all kinds of different files, geometies, deltas.... I've added the P7 library, but it only shows up as an empty folder.
How do I associate the P7 library?

Huh, apparently they don't even need to go into collections. You can just dump the shortcuts directly into all the various runtime folders (Figues, Hair, Props, etc...) and it works.

Looks to be the fault of the lighhts. Moving the light helps. Not sure how to add specular dots though.

Sometimes I'll surf the web while waiting for a scene to render, and I've noticed that the internet speed slows down. Not sure if that has to do with Poser 8 using too many resources, or something linked to the IE run library.

Refresh seems to have worked.
This ticks me off, I shouldn't have to hit refresh. The library shouldn't have these kind of problems

Nope. Have two Poser8.exe entries in Zone Alarm, and they're both given access. As is SR1 and 2.
I switched over to ask, then back to allow and still have the problem.

I agree with the others. I hate working with V4 period. There's not much you can do with her "out of the box" and requires so much work (including just getting morphs, etc) just to make the model acceptable. From a machanical point of view she's a step backwards from V3

Okay, so I want to create, say, a Victoria 4 folder, with sub-folders for clothes, hair, mods, etc... and sub-sub folders for each clothing set, hair style, etc...Now can I just create a Libraries/V4/hair folder, or does it HAVE to be in Libraries/Hair?

I understand about the geometries and textures. But I was wondering if there was anything pointing towards the actual .cr2/.pp2 file. Can I just drag that to some other folder. I'm trying to rearange my library in a more cohesive order.

I have a question: Can I just point XL to my P7 collections folder and get it to load props from the shortcuts there (into P8)? I spent a lot of time setting it up just the way I want it and would hate to have to redo all of that.

I can't wait for it so the damn thing finaly becomes usable (I hope) Right now I'm having to do all the set up in Pro and then import it into 8 to render it. It shouldn't be this way.
