Yayy! Thanks for the advice. The gif's a bit slow and the lightings poor but here's the doors in action!

ah, so it can be done. I've been looking at the Poser reference manual at 'Using Dependent Parameters' as I 'm thinking that's probably the way to go. It's difficult though with only one monitor, having to continually flick between Poser and the manual. Blimey, whoever thought a printer would come in handy!

It's to do with the External Library option. I've set my preferred state so that it doesn't launch the External library and the message doesn't appear. As soon as I launch the Library up it pops. It's not a problem, I'd just rather not see it if possible.

I'm on P10 (still)..
Anyway, I finally got it to work so V4 now has a walk cycle of sorts with the dress now moving correctly. I had to restrain the shoulder straps or the fell off down her arms. Amazingly I did it by.. Wait for it.. reading the manual!
I can put up how I did it if anyone's interested.

HEH, I haven't got it working yet either but I'll have a quieter week now (I've done so much painting and decorating at home I dream about paint brushes!) so I've set myself a task to get it done. When (if) I do I'll post my success!! (Here's hoping!)

Thanks for the advice folks, I've not had a chance to try it all out yet but I hope to this weekend!
Thread: POSER 10 ON WNDOWS 10-11 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi, i don't know if you still need advice on this but to let you know I'm running Poser 10 on a brand new PC running Windows 11 and had no trouble installing or running it at all. I just launched it after the full installation, added my name and serial number only, unchecked the updates and register boxes and away it went. It didn't try to contact any licensing servers. I did have to set the libraries to external though after the first launch and, if you check out my post on this forum from the other day, I had to add contentparadise to the windows host file to stop the certificate popup.
Hope this is of use.

Yep, that'll do it! As soon as you mentioned the host file I got a memory twinge to say I knew about it. A quick search in my 'How to set up Poser' file I created when I had the same issue when installing my laptop and there it was, at the end of the setup process just after how to get rid of the red outline on the selected item.
Thanks for the info anyway. I'm all up and running!

Yes, I choose Yes (which isn't a problem) I was kind of hoping to stop it popping up at all. I've tried the usual certificate updates etc and even tried altering the Trusted Sites but nothing worked.

Thread: Poser 10/Pro XML error after PC crash | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
HEH! Just about to reinstall and I thought, what would happen if I tried reloading the file that I was working on when it crashed. Luckily it loaded, I managed to get the texture files loaded and then saved it. The error has now gone. Guess I've been lucky!

I had icons like that in a different program when my hard disk was too slow to load them before Windows or (I think it was Bryce) said they were.
Are you running both 7's on a mechanical drives? How much RAM have you got in each machine? What is your graphics card?
It may be that your graphics drivers are the issue. Windows 7 could just be too old for the latest drivers you need.
You could try upgrading one of the PC's to Windows 10 or 11. As far as I remember if you have a genuine Windows 7 license you can upgrade to 10 for free. You have to search around for it though. I found this on the PC World website.
I'm guessing from the fact you have Poser Pro versions your Windows is 64 bit so an upgrade to 10 should be feasible.
Make sure you back up all your important files before upgrading and I hope some of this helps.
Thread: External library location on Poser 10 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Heh, yes, I tried all the options provided by Poser but nothing worked. I am wondering if it's something to do with Adobe Air though as all the other items that I want open are part of Poser. The libraries are the only ones using something external.
I've cured my problem for now, I've put them back to one above the other. I just removed the shelf that was in the way that the shared printer sat on and chucked it into a cupboard. Well, its always going wrong anyway!
