Good to know. Thanks for the info. The last thing I need is for programs to go kablooey because of their updates.
Very much appreciated!

but yes, if you click on "Home" from top menu it says their certificate is invalid, meaning the website is not up to security standards. They're using a free service to obtain a certificate, which must be renewed every 90 days.
Thanks for the info.

Would your shader work with Poser 12 or is it just for P13?
Great shaders, by the way.

What about those who have Poser 12, would the upgrade price be $99? Just curious. And if you get Poser 12 now saving 25 % you get poser 13 for only 99$ ( Big Sale ) you are even allowed to keep both licenses

... Why are they supporting the competition, when the competition doesn't support us? ...
Was thinking of the same thing. We have tried to stay on code when it comes to Daz vs. Poser. But this...?
I am still waiting to see what P13 has to offer and still support it, but pushing Genesis this and that in a Poser forum, I feel it's more like a slap in the face. Just... speechless right now.

I am also thinking to add extra conforming eyelashes and waterline.I'm thinking about bringing the toe caps back as a conformer.By 'fly off the feet' you mean the toes come through? Toes are a maze for collisions because the diameter of the toes is so small. If you take a cross section of the toes and draw a line at 'collision depth' below the surface you get an idea of the complexity. After a simulation step a vertex can easily end up in a location where the shortest way 'out' is on the opposite side of where the vertex came from. This could be reduced by smaller time steps but the consequences for simulation speed are severe. On 'old' Antonia I used the toecap there.
Indeed conforming up to mid-shin and dynamic above would be a good solution. Socks are elastic and tensioned so they generally follow the skin without wrinkling.

So, they'll commence getting the ball rolling for Dawn 2?FWIW...Mec4D made some comments over at Hivewire implying that the delay in Dawn 2 was because they were waiting for Poser 13. Now that they know there's no unimesh, they aren't going to wait.

I use Poser 12 (been using it since P4,6,7,9,2012,11) for the improved Cycles and Superfly - and it's been quite interesting.
I'm hesitant about upgrading to 13, as I'm still in the dark about what they'll be offering - hoping for a game-changer - we'll see.

On the same boat with you there.Of course when you look at promo renders with, again, a very small number of exception, or try with the settings provided, you will get crappy results. No one teaches how to use it. I did not use Firefly since Poser 12 came out, but I kludge my way through everything. It is super frustrating and very lonely.

Same here. I've been tempting to try that out, if only they would have Poser/Blender Bridge, but one can dream...I would settle for a way to get a file scene from Poser into Blender. Then I could use true Cycles to render the scene. That's the one benefit Poser has over Blender at this point, posable figures.

That is worrisome, as I like to export figures to other programs, particularly Blender.aztecmarco posted at 9:43 PM Fri, 24 February 2023 - #4456833
Can someone explain what no support for unimesh figures means? Does this mean I won't be able to use M4/V4 .ect inside Poser 13 and if so, why would they stop supporting those figures?
They're talking about something that only vendors/content creators really have to worry about. If you don't import/export Poser figures to Blender or similar modeling software, you probably won't even notice.
