Thread: D3D's firefly render script | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
This was a good thread for me but left me frustrated with all the anomolies still in Poser light. The issue of 1/8th diffuse could use a thread of its own...

Got that T shirt.Miki 1 was unwelded and could not be subD in ZB2. Miki 2 was welded except for her neck seam. I think this is how they skipped losing her great head morphs.. I'm guessing as I can barely even remember this now. It was a lot of fun. I see vilters was there...

I like the two-tiered wrinkle effect on his upper eyelid / eyebrow area. I mean creases over creases. This is what old sun damaged or genetic skin does on some people. If this were mine, I would carry that up through his forhead. Lips look good.
Thread: Poser Pro 2012:Shadow Cam Focal Length | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Scaling down Zooms in (as with shrinking your camera in real life :-)
Yep. It's not focal but, on rethinking this you can use the lights focal dials while watching through the light camera. This is what I hoped to say.
To be clear, right click workwindow, select correct shadowcam. Then left click the centermost light on lightball icon. This should swap parameter box to your camera's light.
Now you can tune your light and slave your camera to your actions. Changing your light's focal should now have a realtime effect in preview. Also aligning your subject matter to realtime light and shadow.
Writing from memory. I know you guys know this. Just being clear(er) for casual readers.
Thread: Camera 50mm Lens Settings | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
After 10 years on Poser, all my cameras have evolved to 52- 55 focal... I don't have the science as to why but I suspect it ma y be a quirk from older versions. So, 35mm is closer to 52mm in set in Poser, etc. Higher focals like 95mm seem to not only flatten the render but bend the corners up as well. Something seems wrong. I just think you have to work around this to your own liking.
I do not own a camera so, mho.

You have to use the Shadow cam "scale" oddly enough...
...that reminds me,, once youare looking in the light cam, click on your mainlight light ball, which switches parameters to light from shadowcam. now you can tune your light xyz while looking through its cam.

Anyone know if any of the emitter light issues (pro 2012 splotchies) were improved in Pro 2014?
Thread: Can someone explain the new Genesis HD? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If you are going to make a figure from scratch and hand sculpt all the detail,, you may want to consider scanning tech as this will steal the show when it hits. Imagine a pretty smiling pic on a Rendo marketplace thumb and a full body scan on sale inside for just 24.95$... just click it over your G2. Be sure to turn IK off... LOL remember AnnMarie Goddard? That turkey sold a lot of product.
Pcs can handle this stuff now...
Thread: Can someone explain the new Genesis HD? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yes and no.
Yeah, just catching up at Daz forums. I've been doing this for quite a while but nice to see it done properly with G2 and 3delight which appears to handle the mega quads well.
Displacement may still be a better option for now inside of Poser (I'm speculating). If I were a Daz merchant, I'd be all over this as things like "celebrity morphs" will finally succeed. Especially with older portraits. Neck waddles,,, wrinkles, thin skin folds where dislacement fails.
Scan tech can wait I guess.

Does anyone know what the HD technology is? are they hi res scans? That would be nice. Hi res body sculpts may not be so interesting to me. Bumpmaps and how you make them seems pretty important in HD as well...
Thread: how high is V4.2 ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Here you go
*Thanks for that. I don't have any (but 2) of these figures. I know V4 has a chest scaling feature but it was not enough for me to overcome the arm length problem. Posing her arms crossed over her head (hand to elbow) left a huge negative space between her head and arms. I just scaled the shoulders down but,,, if you forgot and sent the figure out for an FBM, you got the shelves. I could cure this in Zbrush as a prop but not as working cr2.
hmann had a hip lowering morph on his V3 morph package which I never figured out how to do on V4. Seeing V4 like this shows why I struggled with her.
Scaling the ribcage horizontally and lowering the hip as the leg length decreases seem to have been the weak links in the past. Or, chest scaling with an arm length scaler...
Time for me to visit G2 I think.

All were measured posed standing naturally. Posette and Aneta were added for comparison only. Aneta was scaled based on a real woman of known size, so her proportions are "correct".
I'd like to see all these figures at the same height so things like arm and leg length can be compared. V4's arms are too long for her head height when posing yet seem short compared to her legs. V6 seems worse. First time I've seen her. Being a G2, I guess she scales easily to what you need.
The percentage distance of fingertips to ground is interesting here as well. SP3 and Aneta seemingly correct from human standpoint.

Hydrocodone is a big warm fuzzy blanket. I liked that one but they soon got me down to Darvacet. This will clear up the cobwebs, I'm sure. The drugs you are on take time to get used to. Most heart drugs come with red (dizzy) labels... Keep an eye out for rashes. Really keep an eye on your feet for swelling. You can usually control this with diet. Important for heart patients though. It is a warning.
Try to keep a log of temperature and blood pressure twice a day. OMRON has a sweet blood pressure system and a program for your pc to print out a graph for your cardiologist. I kicked 2 drugs once my doc saw my dopesheet...
