Never mind. I've just figured it out. I exported the flattened clothing as a wavefront object, then re-imported it again and then saved it as a prop.
It that the correct way to do it or is there an easier way?

Hi all,
Just come back to this thread having finally had the time to start teaching myself how to use the cloth room. Early results are encouraging and this method has given me what I wanted originally so thanks everyone for the advise and guidance.
The one thing I am struggling with now is having created my discarded clothing when I save it as prop and then reload it again is has reverted back to the pre-simulation form. How do I maintain the simulations effects when saving as a prop?

Hehe, indeed it is alot simpler than making a new model
As regards the collide with the floor typo it was more a case of me typing without thinking about it logically LOL.
It's about time I started using the cloth room anyway, this will be a good motivator to learn.

Well first of all it is not as simple as loading it into the cloth room, selecting the do not collide with the floor button and pressing simulate. As I suspected I need to get the manual out.
I'll get my reading glasses on tomorrow and learn how to do this properly.
Thanks all

Indeed, I haven't really dabbled with dynamic clothing but it would be worth looking into if it solved the problem. As regards it being a product idea. I entirely agree. For the right product I would happily part with cash to possess it. I would value this product at around ยฃ16.00 if it ticked the all the boxes for me. Not sure what anybody else would pay but that's it's value to me.
The question is how many others would pay. I am guessing there must a fairly sizeable market for this as nothing appears to fill this gap yet.

Thread: DSON LOADING ERROR | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

The actual DSON Importer can be found at DAZ3D for free. Every time you load a figure through Poser, the DSON Importer kicks in. There are some peculiar issues occurring with DSON Importer and Poser 11 Pro which are easily fixable. But I am noticing that you still have subdivision on for your G2F. I recommend setting it to none in the DSON Importer script before loading the clothing. See if that corrects the problem.
Hi hborre,
I do have the DSON importer installed and it appears to work fine on the base G2F figure and all other non modified figure for that matter. It is only on this series of figures I have made where I have used the V4 to G2 UV mapping app from Daz that this problem is occurring on. Although it didn't for the first few weeks of use which is what has got me scratching my head.
I tried setting sub division to 0 which set the figure to the default shape. I then tried switching it off but this made no difference to the issue.
The whole point that if you load two figures the second one is fine to me is key.
There is something about what happens when the first item is loaded that negates the problem.
The thing is I don't have the knowledge to bottom out what that is.

Hi hborre, please see below:
What exactly do you mean fails to conform? Is it conforming but showing poke throughs?
Answer: it looks like this:
After I add a second clothing item, it looks like this:
When I make the first clothing item invisible it looks like this. As you can see the second one is fine:
**Did you verify that it conformed? **
Answer: Yes even though the clothing wasn't correctly conformed it still moved when I moved the characters arms etc.
Did you try DSON Importer Transfer Active Morphs from the script?
Answer: Yes this did nothing.
** Drag & drop?**
Answer: I have tried drag and drop, clicking on the double ticks and double clicking the item in the library, all have the same result.
Did you load G2F from an actual CR2 from the Library or through DSON Importer? I just loaded a Poser saved Aiko 6 into a Poser 11 Pro scene and applied a G2F clothing through DSON Importer and guess what? It doesn't conform properly. I loaded Aiko 6 through DSON Importer and was able to properly conform the same item of clothing.
Answer: I loaded the G2F from the library just as I did for weeks before this problem started.
Answer: As regards a DSON importerI don't know how to do this. The only DSON importer I could find was the DSON Loader but the outcome was the same:

Conformed to the figure or to the hip?
Is there an option to conform to the Hip?
There is only an option to conform to the Genesis 2 Female from what I can see or am I missing something?

Once we have sorted this out I am going to make a simple tutorial with images and links to relevant software so that others can benefit from the learning curve I am currently on and have an easier time of resolving it.
I personally like things laid out bullet point fashion with images to help understanding so I imagine others are the same.

Thread: CREATING FULL BODY MORPH TOOL | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi all,
At the moment I have a Genesis 2 Female that I have meticulously adjusted the dials on to match a V4 character I was using in a story I am working on.
It took me along time to get right as it did the other characters I have upgraded from V4 and M4 to Genesis 2 male and female.
These were working fine with the clothing conforming perfectly and life was good.
Two days ago for reasons I don't understand ( I haven't knowingly changed anything in any of the runtimes, Daz or Poser) the clothing starting unconforming.
I couldn't figure out why so decided the figures themselves my have become corrupted in some way.
I established that the Base Genesis 2 female still conformed perfectly so sought to create a full body morph of the V4 character Clone I had made out of Genesis 2 figure. I could then apply this to the Base Genesis 2 figure and move on with my work which has now been stopped for four days.
Currently I have tried following Paolo's video using Blender which didn't help because it was geared towards Daz Studio and was also referring to an older version of blender which for someone like me who has never used it before made it hard to follow.
Also although Paolo suggested his method can be used in Poser in his video he doesn't explain how and I was unable to work it out despite many hours of trying.
This is what I have.
A wavefront object created from the modified Genesis 2 female. This is sitting in the Geometries folder of my main runtime that I use for all my figures.
I can apply this to the Genesis 2 figure and it works great. However, as previously explained clothing will not conform to it properly.
I have Poser 11 Pro. I have the latest version of Blender (I have zero experience of using Blender). I have Daz studio 4.8. (I have zero experience of using Daz studio other than importing my runtimes into it)
Is there, or could someone create a bullet pointed explanation on how to get from A to B using any of the above software.
A = I have the wavefront object for the character that works.
B = I need to be able to conform Genesis 2 clothing to the Genesis 2 figure once the FBM is applied.
Thanks guys and sorry if I have upset the applecart here.

Just so you know.
Whilst the morph works fine none of the G2 clothes will conform to the character lol.
