Got it. Thank you Bruno.
It's really great to see some helpful people on this board. Once I learn a little more I'll be able to hopefully lend a hand to others as well.

Hi Bruno,
Thanks for the assist as well. Disabling linear workflow did the trick. What I don't understand is why that works but I'm grateful it does.
Also, if you know C4D, do you know how to set the camera to follow the subject 'loosely"? If I have a fast vehicle flying I would like to give the illusion that the camera has trouble keeping up. I can do this in Vue but it doesn't automatically translate into C4D. Any ideas?
Thanks again to everyone for their time in helping. I appreciate it.
Best,
-Marshal

Both my workstation and my Renderbox has dual xeon L5520@2.3ghz. I also have hyperthreading enabled on both comps.
Could that be related in some way?
Thanks,

Great info, Shawn. Thanks for the explanation. Good stuff.
I'll tweak with the sliders a bit and see how it goes. As mentioned, I can always through an adjustment layer with a curves effect in post process to get that final touch.
Thanks for the details!

Ok... if you mean the Gamma options under the general options menu then it is set to the default of 1.800 on the display Gamma slider.
Same with texture maps input and output.
Is this what you mean?
Thanks!

Hi Shawn,
Good question. I know about camera exposure but I'm not sure where to find the gamma output setting for my render camera. Where should I be looking in both apps?
Thanks so much for the assist. I'm just learning the XStream version now.

Thanks guys for the assist. briefly, they are the same build number and I've cleaned them out and reinstalled twice. It's confirmed that they are both on the network accordingly.
I'm still working on it.
I have an email into e-on but no success so far.
I would certainly welcome more ideas if anyone has them.
Thanks again,
-Marshal

Personally, I think Rich hit the nail on the head. Improve your lighting (specifically light and shadow) and I think you're on your way so to speak.
Keep it up!

Quote - Hi Fidelity,Â
Firstly, your artwork is NOT awful. far from it in fact, your star trek pictures are, for the most part really very good, you certainly have your own style, and I admire that. Some of your Cinema 4D work is very good too, again in your own style, I particularly enjoyed your latest "Untitled" its obscure, yes, but its also interesting to look at.
Honestly, the thing I think you need to improve in your vue renders is lighting. For the most part I observe that your renders are mostly overlit, or have odd atmospheres which tends to bug me in a way.
I also find it hard to understand what you mean with your pictures, for example in "I Am Going Crazy" you have created what I would describe as a wonderfully abstract piece, but I dont understand what your intentions where with its design, this is the second thing that bugs me.
Overall, I would say you could improve on two points.
1:- Atmosphere and Lighting
2:- Descriptions of what you intend with each piece
I have been following your work for some time, and viewed most of your pieces. I cant think of any tutorials specifically that you could look at for now, but if i find any I think you might enjoy ill certainly forward them to you.
Keep up the good work!
Rich

Hi Rich,
Thanks for the assist. All the terrain is standard and my quality boost is at 60%. Perhaps I'll bump that up and give it a go but even the superior settings doesn't go that high.
