Hello all, For muscle characters, my choice is M4 and V4 with the Morph ++ and Muscle packages. I have done some renders with Tyler from Blackheart but the result is not as good as with M4. An important addition for muscle rendering is to have displacement map of superficial veins. Here is an example of M4 rendering. Details can be found in the description of figure in my gallery where you will find also 3D images of M4 and Tyler.

Hello maur_2005,
My basic Poser Python learning was from Phil Cook book. This product is sold here at:

Hello,
With the Poser dependent parameter option, it is simple to set the JCM that you want. See my tutorial of this matter at:

Thread: Rigging Wheels | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hello Arrowhead,
In part 4 of my tutorial on Poser Dependent Parameter, I explain how to animate tank track. It is a little bit complex. The basic method used by many artists is to repeat a morphing deformation of the track with the help of ERC control. So we have two states 1) The original track model and 2) the deformed model (In fact, the tract that is advanced by one unit or one tooth of the wheel propeller). By ERC coding, the track is moving from state 1 to state 2 at normal speed, then is returned to state 1 very, very fast and so fast that the user is not seeing the motion, then the cycle is repeated: 1 slow to 2 fast to 1 slow to 2 fast to 1 ….. The basic ERC coding is simple, but the method to repeat the process for large number of cycles is complex. If your track is a figure with multiple segments, you can used the "Cable and pulley design" but the ERC coding
will be a long process.
With the tutorial, there are working models of the track morphing approach (Tank track morph.pz3) and cable and pulley design (Pulley model.pz3)

Hello Arrowhead, If you are not familiar with Poser Dependant parameter to link various motions, I wrote a four parts tutorial.. See my free stuff at:
Tutorials on Poser dependant parameters . Part 3 about Synchronous dependencies is the more relevant to you.

Thread: Callling a Python script for a pose file | Forum: Poser Python Scripting
Hello Anthony, This type of pose file is not related to the character pose. This is a "hacker" way to call a script from a file located in the libraries. Allstereo
Thread: Calling a python script from a pose file | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hello Willyb53,
Thank for the response. I have a figure in the scene and my pz2 file is looking as your. If you want to test the script, give to me a e-mail (via the Rendo site mail) and I will send the script and the related files. On the Poser Python scripting forum, I received the same response from Structure and he will test the script.

Thread: Callling a Python script for a pose file | Forum: Poser Python Scripting
Hello Structure, Thank you for responding. I have tried this format and other variations, but nothing happens. Calling scripts by other artists are working well. I will check again for typographical errors and bad pathways. I you want, I can set the script to you with all related files for testing.

Thread: Methods or scripts to facilitate finger posing | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hello all,
Very good comments 3D-Mobser. I don't underestimate the complexity of human hand function (My basic formation is in Physical Therapy). The hypothetical "wrap function" is just to help the user and should be flexiible to adapt the position and form of object. A script should be very useful but Poser Python don't include methods to access the collision feature. I agree that a library of hand position is the best solution.

Thread: Methods or scripts to facilitate finger posing | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hello all, I know the graps function and it is very useful in many situations, but a "wrapping function" should be a must for other cases where the bending of various parts of each finger is different. Take a look to the attached figure.
Thank you for your comments

Thread: ERC python example? | Forum: Poser Python Scripting
Hello z,
Some time ago, I wrote two scripts to inject ERC in the scene. Here is the link in my free stuff section. Link to Python scripts
You can use the Poser Dependant parameters as an alternative to ERC. See the four tutorials that I wrote about. Here is the link to Part 1 of the tuto. Link to Poser Dependant parameter

Hello all,
Because it appears not easy to find the appropriate image, perhaps you can rely of jpg format of equirectangular images. Here it a Flicker group with many many equirectangular images. These image can be used with a skydome prop. The resolution is not high as HDR but can be useful Flicker group

Thread: Joint Controled Morphs that add up don't work | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hello Pitklad,
The tutorial was written by VK, a famous guru of the Poser community. The tutorial is no more available on the net (It was retired last year to my knowledge). For my tutorials on Poser dependent parameters (See the link below to my freestuff page), I studied extensively this tutorial as well as treads involving discussion and comments by VK. With the new Poser dependent parameter includes in Poser 8 and subsequent versions of Poser, it is more easy to program Joint Controlled Morph (JCM) relative to the old and complex method using only the "ValueOpDeltaAdd" operator. You can read my tutorials to learn more about Poser Dependent Parameters (Part 4 has informations related to your work).
Good luck in your project

Thread: Today's challenge: Possible to export from poser to Genesis 3? | Forum: Poser Technical
Hello gl2nn, After some verifications on the Net, it appears that DAZ can import BVH motion files. So, export the Poser animation as a BVH format file and then import this file in DAZ. Never done that (I am mainly a Poser user). It is a suggestion. Look on the net for details.
