Quote - Users of older computers will of course also benefit from a number of improvements. The tiled texture cache severly reduces the memory footprint of the renderer, so you can put a lot more textures and bigger textures in your scenes than ever before, without running out of memory. The improved raytracer and the irradiance cache can significantly speed up the rendering of scenes that use ambient occlusion. Occlusion culling and the improved depth of field also provide a better rendering experience on old and new computers.
That is, of course unless your computer is so old its only slightly more advanced than an abbacus as mine is. Then there's no 7 for you, your stuck with Poser 4,5,or maybe if your lucky 6. :crying:

Quote - Not to be a PIA but in MHO it is like a slap in the face to those that followed the rules to see that the few (or many) that could not follow the SPECIFCALLY stated rule were given a chance to ammend their error rather then disqualified as it stated in the rules...just my two cents here
I wasn't going to say it, cause I didn't want to be the P.I.T.A. but you are absolutely right.
Quote - Hi rebelmommy,
We try to be understanding of the fact that not all our members are native English speakers, which accounted for quite a few of the mistakes.
If we take the time to communicate what the main problem with contest entry is, we get complaints. If we don't and immediately delete images we get complaints.
We decided it best to communicate and educate.
Not everyone gets it right the first time.
So why wasn't that same communication and education afforded to those who had some "questionable nudity" in their images?
Again i'm really not trying to be a P.I.T.A. but, it does seem to me that some real unfairness and favortism went on with the contest this year.

Quote - you mean like a British person offering to knock someone up in the States (knock on the door), or an American going to a shag contest (beach music dancing in the Carolinas), or hitchhiking with your thumb in Iran or Africa (the meaning is closer to the finger here..;), or we could go on..;)
Yep pakled. Like Nixon when he went to China. LOL

Yeah miss nancy, rosity should not be giving out private information, not in this day and age.
I mean its bad enough that people steal our art and pass it off as their own, much less being given our real names so they can "assume" that as well.
Stacey,
Thanks, I didn't see the little lock thingy. However now that I know what too look for, never mind my previous suggestion. LOL

Stacey I have a suggestion. Is there someway too make it show that a thread has been locked from the forum main page, rather than making someone actually go into the thread only to find out its been locked.

On a serious note however, Jumps, so am I too take it that men now have to have shirts on? And why is it that there are full frontal nudes in some galleries here if thats not allowed anymore?

Karen I would like for the "team" then, too explain to me why and exactly where in the copyright law it says that official press release photos put out by whitehouse.gov of the President, Vice President, U.S. flag, and United States Constitution are copyrighted and cannot be used.
All I can seem to find is the following wich indicates that they are not copyrightable.
http://www.copyright.gov/title17/92chap1.html#105
§ 105. Subject matter of copyright: United States Government works35
Copyright protection under this title is not available for any work of the United States Government, but the United States Government is not precluded from receiving and holding copyrights transferred to it by assignment, bequest, or otherwise.
Also, whitehouse.gov itself makes no mention anywhere of any of this material being copyrighted.

Quote - The decision was made by the TEAM as Karen stated, not one moderator. There is no bias against Aiko at all. If the final rendered image is nude and appears under 18 then its against our TOS.
Primal,
Please contact admin@renderosity.com if you have any concerns regarding your image removal.
The Community Center forum is not designed for this type of thread so let's move on and if you have a concern please contact the appropriate email address.
Hmmm why then wasn't the decision made by the "team" when I was asked to take down one of my images?

If anyone would like some ebots, please by all means let me know, I'd be more than happy to forward you all some of mine.

Will they be teaching the code in this forum? Or in other words will there ever be some tuts so we can learn it ourselves, since we are obviously, (although I don't know why for the life of me we won't) ever get the old much simpler, more user friendly, point and click options we used to have back.
Man I really hate having to learn how to code things. It was bad enough learning what the heck "LOL" and "ROFL" and "IMHO" etc....meant.
After all, some of us, are not quite the spring chickens we once were, and well you know what they say about teaching old dogs new tricks. :m_cigar:
