Youve just run into what I was experiencing all the way back to the mid-90's: The software companies' quality departments are being sacrificed due to cost reduction. You dont only see this in computer biz but everywhere. This is what happens if the boss of a company is not a human being but a shareholder only interested in his gains: Naked greed is code nowadays. And you all know how stock market boomed over the last years, so: its going to be worse. Dont give in to that. If someone wants you to beta test their crap, ask some money in return. Right here in the Web one has two possibilities: 1) to post his work publicly and thus risk everyone to download (and do whatever he wants to) it, and 2) to not post. My only hope is that the behavior of only a few being inconsiderate wont lead to artists having - if at all - only their "second-degree" works posted and thus hiding their best works from the many who'd appreciate to see them in the long run. Goto Atmosphere, Sky and Clouds, Sky tab, double click the color pane on top. now you can choose from a variety of colors for the sky plane. when rendering I can get a perfectly empty white sky. Hope this is the problem's solve. Harry

How about a cloudy greyscale pic for a specular mapping?

I feel it lacks engravement a lot. One can see the texture on the handle isnt even bumpmapped. also, I couldnt tell which material the handle is made of. Gold, brass, plastic? And why the reflection blur on the blade? Is it made of polished steel or isnt it? Just my .02 Harry
